✨ An Honour to Learn from a Legend ✨

Conversing with Guru Pandita Maneesha Tai Sathe was truly an honour and a privilege. A distinguished exponent of the Benaras Gharana and a direct disciple of the legendary Guru Gopi Krishna Ji, she has nurtured generations of Kathak dancers while developing a unique style and teaching methodology especially suited to the feminine body.

It was inspiring to hear her share invaluable insights into her rigorous training under Guru Gopi Krishna Ji, her artistic journey, and her pioneering work in evolving a distinctive technique during the 11-day talk series *SAANIDHYA*, organized by the South Central Zone Cultural Centre (SCZCC), Nagpur, from 26 May to 5 June 2026.

The series was co-curated, coordinated, and conducted by me under the able guidance of Astha Karlekar, Director, SCZCC, Nagpur.

Purnaa Arts – Inspire. Engage. Create. extends its heartfelt congratulations and highest regards to Guru Pandita Maneesha Sathe on being honoured with the prestigious Sangeet Natak Akademi Award. This recognition is a fitting tribute to her immense contribution to Kathak and Indian performing arts. 🌸💃
