New Beginnings, Timeless Legacies!

On a day that blended triumph with tender emotion, we welcomed 45 new scholars into our ever-growing tribe—a moment celebrated by every parent, scholar, educator, and leader in our community.

From the very start, the air buzzed with energy and promise. Over 100 parents, alongside all 90 of our scholars, educators, IITians, dedicated teachers, Teach for India fellows, and our passionate team, gathered to be part of this induction. The day wasn’t just about starting something new; it was about celebrating the legacy of the past and embracing the potential of the future.

Parents were given a glimpse into the lives of legends, with immersive experiences that recounted the journeys of Vikram Sarabai, APJ Abdul Kalam, and other revolutionary figures. It was a day when the beginnings of these icons echoed in every heart, reminding us why we believe so passionately in the power of education.

We shared this joy through inspiring panels featuring Abbas Dadla, Ruby Ma’am, Charuta Joshi, Jesiel Kiny, and Alisha—each bringing their own insights and experiences, igniting sparks of hope and determination amongst us. We remember the sweetness in the air, not just from the treats that parents eagerly collected, but from the overwhelming pride and poignant tears when they saw their children, already shining with medals and accolades on an international stage. That mix of joy and emotion captured the true spirit of our community.

As we celebrate this induction day and the achievements of our past scholars, we also look forward with excitement. Our Scholars team is gearing up to raise the bar even higher, integrating three new high-rigor exams into our academic journey for this upcoming year. The anticipation is palpable—each challenge is an opportunity, and we are ready to embrace it.

Thank you for being part of this journey.

Today, we remember that behind every achievement lies a story of passion, perseverance, and the belief that every child can become a legend. Let’s continue to inspire, empower, and redefine what’s possible—together.

Four Girls. Five Months. One Life-Changing Milestone.

When opportunity knocks, it doesn’t always give you time to prepare. But for Aradhya, Aliya, Rutuja, and Akshara—it gave them a chance.

A few months ago, these four girls had never heard of .

Today, they’ve been selected to be part of one of the most prestigious leadership-based schools in the country.

In between learning what Avasara was, preparing for the written test, cracking the interview, and sitting for their NSO and IMO Olympiads—they didn’t just prepare.

They believed.

They worked harder than ever before, challenged every self-doubt, and showed us what happens when potential meets opportunity.

At Panaah, we don’t just prepare students for exams—we prepare them for turning points like this.

For stepping into rooms they never imagined they belonged in—and then owning their space. This is more than just a win. It’s a proof.

That the right push, the right ecosystem, and the right belief can change the trajectory of a child’s life. Congratulations, scholars. The world is just beginning to see your brilliance. A big gratitude to Ayas Fallon-Khan, one of our strongest supporters for the scholars program, with people like him in our corner we are able to get the opportunity to these young minds.

This saturday morning, our leadership and core teams gathered with a shared sense of purpose—a day dedicated not only to planning for the coming year but to exploring the true essence of leadership. We met in a room filled with anticipation, where every conversation and every shared story wove together into a narrative of growth and collaboration.

The day unfolded as each of us presented our visions for the future, reflecting on the lessons of the past while boldly charting a course for the next steps. Madhu, with his gentle and steady presence, guided us through exercises that went far beyond spreadsheets and presentations. He encouraged us to confront our own stories of self-doubt and to embrace the idea that leadership is rooted more in connection than in authority.

In a quiet moment of reflection, Madhu shared a thought that struck a chord with everyone present. He recalled, “One of the criticisms I’ve faced over the years is that I’m not aggressive enough or assertive enough, or maybe somehow, because I’m empathetic, it means I’m weak. I totally rebel against that. I refuse to believe that you cannot be both compassionate and strong.” His words not only acknowledged our own struggles but also reshaped our understanding of what leadership truly means.

As the day progressed, discussions about feedback, our responses to failure, and the cultivation of a growth mindset led us to a simple realization: every challenge is an opportunity to evolve. Our vulnerabilities, when shared in an environment of trust, can transform into the strengths that propel us forward.

By the end of the day, what began as a series of presentations had grown into a story of unity and purpose. We left with renewed energy and a deeper appreciation for a style of leadership that uplifts, inspires, and quietly empowers others to succeed.

When children take charge, change begins.

At Panaah, we believe that children aren’t just future leaders—they are today’s problem-solvers. Over the past few months, we’ve seen this belief come to life through Projects.

It wasn’t easy. From research and design to mentor training and real-world ex*****on, every step came with challenges. But as children took on these challenges, something incredible happened—they took ownership. They weren’t just learning; they were solving.

Through a challenge-based framework, students worked on projects that addressed real issues in their city and community. They learned the sections of the Mula-Mutha river, understanding waste management and environmental impact firsthand. They redesigned playgrounds, making them safer and more inclusive for all children. They developed green roofs, exploring urban sustainability and how simple interventions can cool down houses and improve air quality. They studied the life cycle of plastic, tracing its journey from production to pollution and brainstorming ways to reduce its footprint.

These weren’t hypothetical exercises—they were real-world interventions. Children conducted research, spoke to experts, engaged with their communities, and designed tangible solutions. They worked as teams, faced setbacks, and tried again until they succeeded.

As we step into the next year, the vision is bigger. Panaah solvers will work towards making 50 homes across our all centers zero-waste, leading waste segregation and composting initiatives. They will map the city’s geography by navigating through metro routes, understanding urban planning and accessibility. They will collect e-waste, learning about recycling and sustainability in the digital age. They will build a size-appropriate solar system model to visualize planetary distances and scale. Each project will continue to build key Panaah Skills—complex problem-solving, cognitive empathy, advanced communication, and creation.

Because in the end, what matters isn’t just talent or luck—it’s perseverance, grit, and the courage to take on challenges, no matter the odds. Here’s to the young changemakers shaping the future.

Last Saturday, thirty of our pathmakers (dropouts) sat for their first SSC Board exam. Before heading in, we gathered in a circle to check in on their emotions—scared, anxious, and nervous were the most common responses.

Then, one student shared something that stayed with us.

"Last year, when I was being expelled, some teachers told me, ‘You don’t even deserve to sit in a 10th-grade class.’"

A pause. Then he said—

"Yet here we are, standing firm, minutes away from writing our board exam."

Their mentor, Rakib Sayed, reflected on their journey— "When these kids first came to The Panaah Pathmakers School, they were at their lowest. Their confidence was shattered, their self-esteem barely intact. Even their parents struggled to believe in their potential. But these moments—facing their exams, finding their voice—shape a child's self-belief."

Looking back, they had no direction, no clarity. But today, some have directed and showcased films, while others have excelled in academics. Many now say they’ve found their purpose—some even dream of becoming teachers at Panaah, to create a safe space for future students, just like their mentors did for them.

This transformation has only strengthened our commitment. We are now starting enrollments for the upcoming academic year, launching a School for Dropouts. The only requirement? The student must be in the bottom 20% of their class academically. At Panaah, we believe that no child should be written off. Every student deserves a system that works for them!

Reflecting on a journey of transformation and connection, we at The Panaah Communities are filled with gratitude for the inspiring moments shared with Madhu. Just a few months ago, we embarked on a two-day workshop that touched our hearts—a deep dive into our teaching purposes, a shift from deficit to asset-based perspectives, and bold exercises in vulnerability that set the stage for profound growth.

This Saturday, Madhu returned to our mentors, and the energy in the room was electric once again. His session on creating clear, specific instructions reminded us that “pay attention” or “stop that” only hold meaning when students know exactly what to do. With techniques like being “Seen Looking”—think The Groundhog, Looking Around the Pillar, and even “The Politician,” which brought a few smiles—he showed us how small shifts in awareness can transform the classroom environment.

We also experienced the power of positive narration, focusing on what’s right, celebrating every small success, and making every student feel noticed and supported. Madhu’s work goes beyond teaching; it’s about creating safe, engaging spaces where both educators and students flourish.

As he continues his research and collaborates with our leadership team, his role in shaping our teacher professional development is a gift that keeps on giving. Here’s to the unforgettable moments, the reflective insights, and the renewed sense of purpose that every session with Madhu brings. The journey of continual learning and growth is just beginning, and we couldn’t be more excited for what lies ahead.

March Milestones at

During the winter season, our brilliant scholars stepped forward to face their very first international challenges by taking the International Math Olympiad (IMO) and the National Science Olympiad (NSO) exams. In December, 52 of our dedicated scholars embarked on this exciting journey, marking the beginning of what would become an inspiring story of determination and excellence.

Now, as we welcome the freshness of March, we are thrilled to share their outstanding results:

• NSO: 50 scholars achieved an international rank under 5000
• IMO: 2 scholars ranked under 5000, 32 under 10,000, and 17 under 20,000

These achievements are far more than just numbers—they capture the spirit of hard work, resilience, and the pursuit of excellence that defines our Panaah scholars and the team behind them. Much like the memorable day on December 3, 2024, when our scholars stepped into their first exam with quiet determination and hope, these results stand as a testament to their growth and the powerful impact of nurturing potential.

Join us in celebrating these inspiring young minds who have transformed challenges into milestones. Their journey reminds us that every exam, every effort, and every result is a stepping stone towards a brighter future.

At Panaah, every day unfolds like a story of hope and nourishment. Thanks to Zomato's Feeding India initiative, all four of our community centers now serve over 1,400 meals and snacks daily. With each carefully scheduled meal—including an evening snack paired with lunch or dinner based on the batch—the smiles on our children’s faces speak volumes.

This beautiful gesture from Zomato has already boosted our attendance and enrollment, creating a ripple effect of positive change. More than just filling bellies, these nutritious meals are enriching our children with the essential micronutrients they need to thrive.

We are immensely proud to join Feeding India’s mission to fight hunger and malnutrition across India. Thank you, Zomato, for being a partner in our journey toward brighter, healthier futures.

A big thanks to Rashi for being an amazing partner and helping us immensely:)
