On 08.04.2025 Sarvothaman along with Principal District Court Puducherry Amins and Revenue staffs visiting the properties in St.Martin Puducherry 605001 during the delivery of properties ordered by the said Court on 12.03.2025. Properties visited include the Society House of Sri Aurobindo Society in St.Martin street.

N.Selvaradjalou Chettiar a renowned French personality was a great scholar, statesmen & philanthropist of French India. By their charitable deeds he & his family members earned the reputation of the great nation of France & the people of the downtrodden.

Recovery of immovable properties of the real estate of the family of Puducherry philanthropist, great leader and statesman N.Selvaradjalou Chettiar from the clutches of landgrabbers commenced after 55 years of legal battle upon repeated orders passed by the Hon’ble Principal District Court Puducherry, by orders passed by the Hon’ble High Court of Judicature at Madras and by orders passed by the Hon’ble Supreme Court of India. In spite of repeated Court orders the criminals who are in possession of those properties device various tactics to escape eviction.

Cars were identified as HANSA 1100 of 1939. This family started a car company in the name of Jayalakshmi ammal the sister of N.Selvaradjalou Chetty. Name of the company was JAYALAKSHMI & CO. They were the dealer for German HANSA cars in British India. The first lot of cars were unloaded in Bombay port. Unfortunately an embargo was declared on all German goods at that time when the World War II started. So those cars were seized. Huge loss was incurred. Following which the company was closed. The above are the different models of HANSA cars. The above rare photo was shared by Mr.Thuruvengadam a close relative and well wisher of the family.
