The THRIVE project is focused on the evaluation of a direct cash transfers program
through a randomised controlled trial with patients with clinically relevant depression. This is currently a highly innovative and potentially a high impact research space to be in due to the simultaneous assessment of clinical, functional, social and economic outcomes.

Luanna Fernandes and Kedar Mirchandani from the ARG attended the first meeting of the ROOTs network, at Jesus college, University of Oxford, from 23rd to 25th March.

The network is led by NIHR professor Dr. Sassy (Catherine) Molyneux and aims to address moral distress amongst frontline research staff.

At this meeting, the network, comprising of various health researchers from across the world (Vietnam, Thailand, Kenya, Zimbabwe, India, Nigeria) christened itself ROOTs (Resilience and organizational options to tackle moral distress), discussed key challenges and supporting factors faced by frontline staff from various contexts, and planned collaborations and network outputs in the near future.
