Sri Aurobindo Society A beautiful tomorrow, a happier world, a dynamic application of spirituality to material life and all The descending triangle represents Sat-Chit-Ananda.

Sri Aurobindo Society is a registered society with its chief administrative office at Puducherry, India. It has more than 250 centres and about 80 branches in India and outside. The Mother of Sri Aurobindo Ashram is the founder and the permanent President of the Society. About the Symbol
It is the symbol of Sri Aurobindo, with lines joining the apexes of the two triangles, to form a diamond. The s

ignificance of the diamond, according to Sri Aurobindo, is the Mother’s light at its intensest. The ascending triangle represents the aspiring answer from matter under the form of life, light and love. The junction of both - the central square - is the perfect manifestation having at its centre the Avatar of the Supreme - the lotus. The water - inside the square - represents the multiplicity, the creation.

BhāratShakti, Sri Aurobindo Society is happy to announce the release of third issue of Volume 2 of Renaissance Redux, a quarterly periodicial which highlights selections from the fast growing archives of monthly periodicial Renaissance. In this issue released in the birthday month of Sri Aurobindo, we present a special video featuring inspiring words from Sri Aurobindo which reveal the deeper significance of August 15, the Darshan day for Yoga. His words point to the inner preparation with which we should approach this significant date.

We also celebrate 15th August as the birthday of the modern nation of India that is Bhārat, one of the oldest living civilisations that is advancing confidently on her way to renew and express her timeless spirit in new forms. In this connection, the issue features some important words of the Mother where she helps us understand an essential point about “cause” and “effect.” These words are not to be missed by anyone who has turned to the teachings and vision of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother.

Sri Aurobindo has emphasised that the age of an ascetic yogi in a cave far away from the maddening crowd of life must give way to an age of yoga in real-life, in real-time which aims at the transformation of one’s entire being, the life and the world. The feature article titled ‘Sri Aurobindo, The Reconciler of Light and Life’ by Rishabhchand presents the Master’s illuminating exposition of the origin of life and the aim and steps of its evolutionary progression.

From Student Revolution to Sri Aurobindo’s Third Dream
Inspired by the profound message of Sri Aurobindo in his Third Dream of World Unity, one of our long time readers and supporters of BhāratShakti's works, Shri Nitin Varia sent us a thoughtful writeup which is now published on our blog.

On the 20th of August 1964, The Mother graciously took office as the President of World Union. And, in the year 1969, She gave her approval to this date (20th of August) with her signature and blessings on the letterhead of World Union, to be observed, celebrated and commemorated as the every year.
