The International Sanskrit Study & Research Forum, an initiative of AuroBharati, Sri Aurobindo Society, was launched with the objective of introducing Sanskrit in the light of Sri Aurobindo to sincere learners interested in exploring the language in both its spoken and written forms. The Forum seeks to foster a deeper understanding of Sanskrit as a living language and a gateway to India’s rich spiritual, cultural, and intellectual heritage.

The inaugural session of the Forum was organized on 10 June 2026 on the theme “Vedic Heritage and Tradition in the Light of Sri Aurobindo.” The session was coordinated by Dr. Kishor Kumar Tripathy, Member Secretary, AuroBharati, Sri Aurobindo Society, Puducherry.

During the session, Dr. Tripathy highlighted the significance of the Vedic Suktas, which have traditionally been chanted in sacred rituals and as an integral part of the spiritual life of Vedic communities. He explained that Vedic chanting represents a highly refined oral tradition in which sound, rhythm, intonation, and mantra work together to elevate consciousness and create inner harmony. Each mantra carries not only linguistic meaning but also profound vibrational and spiritual significance, expressed through precise rhythmic patterns.

The session explored the beauty, depth, and transformative power of Vedic chanting while examining its philosophical and spiritual dimensions through the insights of Sri Aurobindo. Participants gained a deeper appreciation of the sacred sound tradition of the Vedas, its poetic richness, and its enduring relevance in contemporary life.

The discussions also emphasized Sanskrit as the sacred language of the Vedas and a living heritage renowned for its luminous poetry, profound symbolism, oral precision, and enduring cultural significance. Participants were introduced to the ways in which Sanskrit continues to inspire seekers, scholars, and practitioners across the world.

Designed as an immersive and inspiring experience, the program enabled participants to engage with the beauty, depth, and contemporary relevance of Sanskrit and the Indian knowledge systems associated with it. The Forum welcomed participants from diverse age groups and backgrounds, reflecting its inclusive vision of making Sanskrit accessible to all who wish to connect with this timeless language and its intellectual heritage.

The successful conduct of the first session marked an important beginning for the International Sanskrit Study & Research Forum and laid the foundation for sustained engagement with Sanskrit studies, Vedic wisdom, and the deeper dimensions of Indian culture and spirituality.

Academicians and researchers from institutions across India, Brazil, Thailand, the USA, and Spain attended the session.

In his historic 1947 message to independent India, Sri Aurobindo shared his vision of Five Dreams for India and humanity. These dreams envisioned a Free and united India,” “Resurgence of Asia”, “Word Union”, “India’s spiritual Gift to the World” and “ the evolution of human consciousness to a higher level.” His message continues to inspire efforts toward building a progressive, peaceful, and spiritually awakened New India and a better global future rooted in unity, cooperation, and human transformation. Inspired by the vision of Sri Aurobindo and the Mother, at Sri Aurobindo Society, we have started several initiatives with the objective of reviving the greatness of Indian culture and inspiring people, especially the youth, to develop love for India, pride in its heritage, and the vision to build a brighter future. The organization promotes Indian values, philosophy, arts, sciences, Sanskrit, and cultural heritage through educational programmes and modern technology. It also works for the unity, spiritual leadership, and preservation of India’s rich cultural traditions. Humble salutations at the lotus feet of Guru Maharshi Aurobindo and Sri Maa. This land, this flag, this freedom —we celebrate it with love, unity, and pride. Contact us for collaboration and outreach projects at [email protected].

National Workshop on VIKSIT BHARAT 2047: Role of Education, Skills and Entrepreneurship held at PKCE, Government of Puducherry.

A two-day national workshop on the theme “VIKSIT BHARAT 2047: Role of Education, Skills and Entrepreneurship” was organized at Perunthalaivar Kamarajar College of Education under the Government of Puducherry. The workshop aimed to create a forward-looking academic and professional platform to deliberate on India’s transformative journey towards becoming a developed nation by 2047 through education, skill development and entrepreneurship.

Dr. R. Kandhavel, Principal of the college, welcomed the participants and emphasized the importance of empowering youth with knowledge, innovation and entrepreneurial skills for nation building.

On this occasion, Dr Kishor Kumar Tripathy, Member Secretary, AuroBharati, Sri Aurobindo Society delivered a special address on the topic “Merging Integral Education with Cultural Sustainability to Enhance Entrepreneurship Development for Viksit Bharat.”

The session focused on the relevance of the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and the vital role of culture in fostering innovation, creativity and entrepreneurial spirit among the youth. It was emphasized that India’s rich cultural heritage and traditional knowledge systems could serve as strong foundations for sustainable entrepreneurial practices and inclusive economic growth.

A significant part of the lecture explored the concept of Integral Education as envisioned by Sri Aurobindo and The Mother. Their educational philosophy, which nurtures the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual dimensions of an individual, was presented as a transformative approach for developing responsible entrepreneurs and socially conscious citizens.

The session also highlighted the importance of creative art industries and cultural enterprises in promoting sustainable development, generating employment opportunities and preserving cultural identity. Creative sectors such as handicrafts, design, performing arts and cultural tourism were identified as major contributors to economic growth while maintaining ecological and cultural balance.

मातास्मि भोः पुत्रक भारतानां सनातनानां त्रिदशप्रियाणाम्।
शक्तो न यान् पुत्र विधिर्विपक्षः कालोऽपि नो नाशयितुं यमो वा॥
(Bhavani Bharati by Sri Aurobindo)

Namaskāragaḷu. It was a great honor to meet with Ms. Mahananda Viradar, Shree Aravind Grameen Vidyavardhak Samsthe, who has been tirelessly working to promote the teachings and vision of Sri Aurobindo and The Mother through transformative education. As a woman emerging from a rural village background, she nurtured a courageous dream of empowering her community through knowledge, values, and holistic learning. Her dedication to uplifting rural children and creating awareness among villagers has become a remarkable success story and an inspiration to many. It was truly heartening to witness how education can become a force for social transformation and community prosperity. I was also very happy to meet my dear friend Dr. Sundar Murugan. Thank you Dr R V Jahagirdar Bhai for the meeting. Our interaction and discussions alongwith members of the Mother’s family were highly meaningful, insightful, and fruitful, opening possibilities for future collaboration and educational initiatives. Jai Maa
