As a part of Vanamahotsava week week, GVM's G.G.P.R. College of Commerce and Economics, Ponda along with college alumni and Forest department organised tree plantation drive. Approx. 100+ diverse The college NSS, NCC, Sports, Unnat Bharat units, faculty, alumni Executive Committee members and Forest department joined hands to plant over 100+ diverse flowering plants along Ponda - Belgaum highway at Curti Ponda, fostering a greener tomorrow. Principal Prof. Teotone Vaz welcomed the gathering and the Chief Guest was Asst. Conservator of Forest Shri. Vikas Chodankar, who emphasized on the importance of planting trees, and fulfilling PM Modi's initiative Ek Ped Maa Dharti ke Nam. AE Mr. Anand Vaghurmekar, RFO, Shri. Deepak Tandel, Mr. Mayur Saboji of Hilldhaari project, Alumni President Shri. Nilesh Naik, treasurer Mr. Nishad Bakhale, Secretary Mr. Sudesh Narvekar, Vice Principal Dr. Meera Mayekar planted trees along with students and alumni members. This initiative aimed to inspire our youth to become responsible stewards of the environment.
