It is actually 25 years. Never mind 😄. It is a beautiful article written about our founder Kalki Subramaniam's work for the transgender community of India in the last two decades. Beautifully covered, but yes, limited space can't cover everything. Thanks to The Logical Indian and Ananya for the lovely article. A much needed one to remind path she had laid, the predecessor she has been in bringing changes to trans lives 🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍⚧️🏳️‍🌈🏳️‍🌈.

We at Sahodari Foundation (www.sahodari.org) are proud to announce that we have signed an MoU with Amazon India to uplift our less privileged transgender women and rural women through their Saheli and Karigar programs which will enable small businesses and cottage industries run by them to thrive through Amazon India platform.

In line with that, yesterday we had an introductory training program about Saheli and Karigar for our women in which Amazon's Account Manager of Saheli and Karigar programs Ms.Sarita Tiwari clearly and warmly explained the benefits of joining these programs for small businesses run by rural and transgender women. Our trustee Mrs.S Umamaheswari did the introductory and closing inspiring remarks. My sincere thanks to Amazon India and Ms.Sarita for this immensely inspiring wonderful association and collaboration with Sahodari Foundation.

Together, we will uplift those rural and trans women entrepreneurs who are talented, and who deserve visibility, recognition and need to get many steps ahead.
