On 8 February 2026, a joint workshop dedicated to Adventure and Nature was organized by ICE and HARELA. The objective of this workshop was to nurture courage, discipline, environmental sensitivity, and a sense of social responsibility among children.
During the program, all technical and practical knowledge related to rock climbing, rappelling, and jumaring was explained by Our Instructors remarkably simple, engaging, and example-based manner, truly following the spirit of “Gagar mein Sagar” (great depth in simple words). Techniques for ascending and descending rock faces, safety standards, and essential equipment were demonstrated in detail, helping children gain a foundational understanding of adventure activities.
Subsequently, a total of 16 children successfully practiced rappelling on a natural rock face approximately 35 meters high. Displaying discipline, courage, and self-confidence, the children completed the activity safely, which stood as clear evidence of the workshop’s success.
One of the most important and thought-provoking aspects of the program was the cleanliness drive conducted around the rappelling platform. The presence of liquor bottles, ci******es, beer cans, and other objectionable waste exposed a harsh social reality that is often ignored.
The irony was striking—the very items from which children should be protected were being picked up and cleaned by their innocent hands. This scene was not merely about cleanliness; it became a silent question and a sharp critique of society:
where responsibility is abandoned, and values are placed on the shoulders of children.
Through this cleanliness activity, the children not only delivered a strong message of environmental conservation, but also proved that change does not begin with age, but with mindset.
Thus, this joint workshop went beyond adventure activities and emerged as a powerful example of nature conservation, social awareness, and moral responsibility.
