As a community, our aim is and should be that every citizen of India will read and write, will communicate without hesitation, will not be ostracized for being illiterate and treated as being irrelevant. We work towards developing a 100% literate India, reaching the marginalized and unreached people, through developing mother tongue literacy programs and training teachers to teach ethnic minoritie
s to read and write their mother tongue using their state language script. In some remote tribal and villages where only verbal communication is used ,a written script is also developed from scratch, based on the state language script ,through a lot of research and extensive field testing, to develop a written script in their mother tongue. Primary level books that include books for alphabet learning,, math, folklore as books for reading etc. are developed for the literacy program. Thus this Literacy program acts as a stepping stone to them becoming fluent not only in their mother tongue, but also in their state language. Literacy and fluency in their mother tongue and state language will open the door of opportunities and give them a self-sustainable life which they deserve just as much as anyone else. Our goal is to become where even though we are many with varyingly different languages, cultures and traditions, we are striving together to be a global super power by giving everyone access to sources of knowledge through linguistic integration.
