H O S H I L - Helping Others Smile Happily In Life Happiness is not a destination. It is a journey. Be a part of our journey. (An initiative to spread happiness) Thus we launch - HOSHIL.

This page is in memory of a son, a brother,a friend - HOSHIL MEHTA, a 22 year old student who was unfortunately taken away from us on 19/9/2014. Hoshil had big dreams, an ambition to succeed, a desire to spread happiness and a will to always help others. HOSHIL means "happiness" and he perfectly defined the word. As his family, we have taken up this initiative to keep him alive by spreading as much happiness as we can. HOSHIL is a foundation which serves as a vehicle to spread happiness in every possible way and for doing charitable work in education and other such humanitarian causes. HOSHIL can be described as Helping Others Smile Happily In Life
That is precisely our objective to work for and serve our society in the memory of HOSHIL.

On 19th September we marked the 12th death anniversary of our beloved son, Hoshil. Though time moves on his memory remains deeply cherished in our hearts every single day.
​To honor his spirit of warmth and caring Hoshil Foundation organized a meal drive at Shiv Kalyan Kendra a place that offers free stay and food to needy patients and their relatives coming to Mumbai for treatment at government hospitals. Serving these brave families during their difficult medical journeys felt like the most meaningful way to keep Hoshil’s light shining.
​Thank you to everyone who keeps Hoshil in their thoughts and prayers, and to all who support us in continuing his legacy through service.

In honor of Hoshil’s birthday, the Hoshil Foundation successfully conducted a multi-tier distribution drive today one of them:
Empowering the Future at HEAL, Vijayawada: The highlight of the day was a grand celebration with 900 children at HEAL (Health and Education for All) in Vijayawada. HEAL is a renowned non-profit dedicated to empowering India's most disadvantaged children, providing them with the tools to break the cycle of poverty. The foundation shared a day of joy, meals, and inspiration with these young stars.
​The Hoshil Foundation remains committed to the belief that every birthday is an opportunity to make a positive impact on the world around us.

In loving memory of Hoshil, who journeyed ahead 11 years ago, this year Hoshil Foundation continues his legacy by empowering individuals with mobility impairments. We recognize the challenges faced by those who cannot walk or have limited mobility. As a tribute, Hoshil Foundation donated wheelchairs to those in need through our partnership with Nina Foundation and V.D Indian Society for Mentally Challenged. This gesture aims to enhance independence and improve the quality of life for individuals with mobility impairments, keeping Hoshil's spirit alive.

HEAL, a remarkable charitable organization in Vijayawada, has been providing a loving home and quality education to 1000 underprivileged children. Like every year, this year too, the children and staff came together to celebrate Hoshil’s birthday with warmth and joy.

On 18th December 2025, Hoshil Foundation continued its heartfelt tradition of spreading warmth and compassion by organizing its annual Blanket and Food Distribution Drive. Like every year, the initiative reached out to the families and patients staying on the streets outside TATA and KEM Hospitals, who often endure harsh weather and challenging circumstances.

This act of kindness has become a beacon of hope for many, reminding us all of the power of community and the importance of lending a helping hand. Hoshil Foundation remains deeply grateful to everyone who played a part in making this initiative a success and reaffirms its mission to bring relief and positivity to those who need it the most.
