As part of the “Artistic Young” series by the Folkartopedia Foundation, the second art workshop was held on August 23, 2026, at CFC, Folkartopedia Campus.
The 1st edition of Artistic Young was full of creativity and fun for young minds. They painted their big dreams. Since then, they were so excited about the 2nd edition that they had been constantly asking when the next one would be held. And when the day finally arrived, they were completely immersed in art. They could be seen teaching their mentor, explaining what lived in their imaginations, and sharing how those ideas would take shape on paper through colours.

The extent of their imagination and enthusiasm to express it through art can be gauged from what happened next. After completing one drawing with complete concentration and joy, they asked for another sheet of paper, saying, “We’ll make one more picture, please give us some paper.” They transformed their imagination into art and express them on the paper again.
Once the second sheet was also filled with their colourful imaginations, we finally told them, “That’s enough for now. Let’s have some biscuits and something sweet.” Only then did the children put down their colours, ready to meet again for the next workshop.

आर्टिस्टिक यंग: कला, कल्पनाएं और बालमन की मिठास

फोकार्टोपीडिया फाउंडेशन के "आर्टिस्टिक यंग" श्रृंखला के तहत सीएफसी, फोकार्टोपीडिया कैंपस में 23 अगस्त 2026 को दूसरी कला-कार्यशाला आयोजित की गयी। कार्यशाला को लेकर बच्चों में उत्साह का आलम ये था कि कई दिनों से बच्चों की तरफ से लगातार यह पूछा जा रहा था कि अगली कार्यशाला कब है? फिर कार्यशाला का दिन आया। बच्चे पूरी तरह कला में डूबते दिखे, बड़ों को सिखाते दिखे, बताते दिखे कि उनकी कल्पनाओं में क्या है और वह रंगों के माध्यम से कागज पर उतरेगा कैसे।

सीमित संसाधनों की वजह से हमने तय किया था कि हर कार्यशाला में बच्चे एक चित्र बनाएंगे। लेकिन, बालमन की कल्पनाशीलता का आलम और उन्हें चित्रों में अभिव्यक्त करने का उत्साह किस कदर था, अंदाजा लगाइये कि एक चित्र को पूरी तन्मयता से पूरा करने के बाद उन्होंने फिर कागज की मांग की, कहा एक और चित्र बनाएंगे, कागज दीजिए। दूसरा भी कल्पनाओं के साथ रंगों में जब सराबोर हो गया, तब हमने कहा बस, अब थोड़ा बिस्कुट के साथ मीठा हो जाये, तब जाकर बच्चों ने रंगों का साथ छोड़ा, फिर अगली मुलाकात के लिए। प्रस्तुत है कार्यशाला की चंद तस्वीरें...

The greatest achievement of the 'Artistic Young' Art Workshop Series by Folkartopedia is the wonderful response from children who are eagerly waiting for the next workshop and looking forward to participating in it. The enthusiasm among children is our greatest success and a meaningful step towards creating a more art-aware and culturally conscious society.

Continuing this journey, another special 'Artistic Young' Art Workshop is being organised for children.

On the occasion of Independence Day, the ICCR RO, Patna hosted the 3rd edition of Folkartopedia Baithaki, a cultural dialogue series celebrating Bihar’s rich folk traditions. Renowned theatre personality and folk art scholar Sh. Hasan Imam spoke on “Women Heroines in Bihar’s Folk Epics,” exploring Sati Behula, Hirni birni ,saranga sadabrij and Bahura Godhini, followed by an engaging interaction with artists and cultural practitioners. The presence of Smt. Swadha Rizvi, RD, ICCR Bihar-Jharkhand, along with eminent artists and cultural practitioners, enriched the session and reflected ICCR’s vision of developing its office as a vibrant cultural space fostering meaningful dialogue around India’s diverse artistic traditions.

स्वतंत्रता दिवस के अवसर पर आईसीसीआर के क्षेत्रीय कार्यालय, पटना में ‘फोकार्टोपीडिया बैठकी’ के तीसरे संस्करण का आयोजन किया गया। बिहार की समृद्ध लोक परंपराओं और लोकगाथाओं को केंद्र में रखकर आयोजित इस सांस्कृतिक संवाद में प्रसिद्ध रंगकर्मी एवं लोककलाविद् श्री हसन इमाम ने “बिहार की लोकगाथाओं में महिला नायिकाएँ” विषय पर अपने विचार साझा किए। उन्होंने सती बिहुला, हिरणी बिरनी,सारंगा सदाविरीज और बहुरा गोढ़नी जैसी लोकनायिकाओं के चरित्र एवं लोक आख्यानों पर विस्तार से चर्चा की। इसके बाद उपस्थित कलाकारों और संस्कृतिकर्मियों के साथ सार्थक संवाद हुआ। आईसीसीआर बिहार-झारखंड की क्षेत्रीय निदेशक श्रीमती स्वधा रिज़वी की गरिमामयी उपस्थिति तथा अनेक प्रतिष्ठित कलाकारों एवं संस्कृतिकर्मियों की सहभागिता ने इस आयोजन को और समृद्ध बनाया। यह पहल आईसीसीआर कार्यालय को एक जीवंत सांस्कृतिक केंद्र के रूप में विकसित करने की दिशा में एक महत्वपूर्ण कदम है।

"फोकार्टोपीडिया बैठकी" में "बिहार की लोकगाथाओं में महिला नायिकाओं" पर चर्चा !

आज, 15 अगस्त यानी स्वतंत्रता दिवस के मौके पर एक बार फिर आईसीसीआर कार्यलय पटना में 'फोकार्टोपीडिया बैठकी' का आयोजन संपन्न हुआ। फोकार्टोपीडिया बैठकी का यह तीसरा संस्करण था जिसमें "बिहार की लोकगाथाओं में महिला नायिकाएं" विषय पर जाने-माने रंगकर्मी, निर्देशक और लोककलाविद (नाट्य) हसन इमाम ने अपने विचार प्रस्तुत किये। विषय को विस्तार देते हुए उन्होंने सती बिहुला, हिरणी बिरनी,सारंगा सदाविरीज और बहुरा गोढ़नी की नायिकाओं की विस्तार से चर्चा करते हुए उनके चरित्र चित्रण पर विस्तार से प्रकाश डाला।

श्री हसन इमाम की चर्चा के पश्चात् बिहार के वरिष्ठ संस्कृतिकर्मी और बापू टावर के निदेशक श्री विनय कुमार, जानी-मानी कथक नृत्यांगना श्रीमती यामिनी शर्मा, पटना हाईकोर्ट के वरिष्ठ वकील श्री श्वेतकेतु और वरिष्ठ कलाकार रश्मि सिंह ने अपनी-अपनी टिप्पणियां प्रस्तुत कीं, जिसके पश्चात श्री हसन इमाम ने वहां उपस्थित कलाकारों के सवालों के जवाब भी दिये और उनकी जिज्ञासाओं को शांत करने की कोशिश की।

फोकार्टोपीडिया की तीसरी बैठकी को खास बनाया आईसीसीआर, बिहार-झारखंड के क्षेत्रीय निदेशक श्रीमती स्वधा रिज़वी की उपस्थिति ने। फोकार्टोपीडिया की बैठकी पर टिप्पणी करते हुए उन्होंने कहा कि यह उनकी दिली ख्वाहिश थी कि आईसीसीआर का यह दफ्तर महज दफ्तर नहीं रहे, बल्कि एक सांस्कृतिक केंद्र के रूप में भी आगे बढ़े, जिसकी शुरुआत फोकार्टोपीडिया बैठकी जैसे सांस्कृतिक आयोजनों से हुई है। इसके लिए उन्होंने फोकार्टोपीडिया के निदेशक सुनील कुमार को धन्यवाद भी ज्ञापित किया।

इस बैठकी में जिन गणमान्य संस्कृतिकर्मी और कलाकारों की उपस्थिति रही, उनमें इनकम टैक्स विभाग के उप-निदेशक श्री अशोक मंडल, मिथिला चित्रकला की कलाकार श्रीमती स्मिता राजश्री, श्रीमती श्वेता सेन, श्रीमती सुजाता मिश्रा, श्रीमती इंदु सिंघानिया और टिकुली कला की कलाकार श्रीमती रुचि कुमारी, श्री शुभम कुमार, श्री सौरभ सुमन, सुश्री नाहिदा बानो और श्रीमती मोनिता सहाय शामिल हैं। साथ ही इस मौके पर सुजनी कला की वरिष्ठ कलाकार श्रीमती आशा देवी, भोजपुरी चित्रकला के वरिष्ठ कलाकार श्री संजीव सिन्हा और श्री राजीव रंजन और उपेंद्र महारथी शिल्प अनुसंधान संस्थान में बतौर डिजाइन स्पेशलिस्ट कार्यरत श्रीमती अनु कुमारी और बैंकिंग क्षेत्र में कार्यरत राजकुमार राय की उपस्थिति महत्वपूर्ण रही और सबसे युवा संस्कृतिकर्मी के तौर पर नौ वर्ष की ईशान्वी रॉय ने अपनी उपस्थिति दर्ज करायी।

गौरतलब है कि 'फोकार्टोपीडिया बैठकी' सीरीज एक संवाद श्रृंखला है जिसे लोककला एवं संस्कृति के क्षेत्र में सक्रिय फोकार्टोपीडिया फाउंडेशन, आईसीसीआर पटना की मदद से आयोजित कर रहा है और इस बैठकी का उद्देश्य है, अलग-अलग कला विधाओं के कलाकारों और संस्कृतिकर्मियों के बीच बेहद आत्मीय माहौल में कला-संवाद।

Heroines of the Folk Ballads of Bihar
Join us on 15 August at 3:30 PM @ ICCR Guest House, Patna.

In the folk ballads and songs of Bihar, women protagonists have a powerful and compelling presence. They fight and struggle for their rights, and openly challenge the traditions that were created to bind and confine them like chains. They are not portrayed as weak or helpless, but as strong, aware of their rights, and determined to assert themselves. While they carry forward traditions, they also believe in breaking taboos and challenging social conventions.

Hasan Imam, a senior theatre practitioner and director from Bihar, has studied almost all the major folk ballads of the Bihar. This time, in Baithaki, Fokartopedia brings you an interaction with Hasan Imam, who will introduce us to some of these remarkable women protagonists and their stories.

आर्टिस्टिक यंग | एक अनौपचारिक कला-कार्यशाला
लोककला के क्षेत्र में सक्रिया पटना की प्रतिनिधी संस्था फोकार्टोपीडिया ने बच्चों में कला शिक्षा को बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से एक दिवसीय मुफ्त छापा-कला कार्यशाला "आर्टिस्टिक यंग" का सफलतापूर्वक आयोजन किया जिसमें प्रतिभागी बच्चों ने अपनी कलात्मक-अभिव्यक्तियों और उनमें रंग संयोजन से सभी को चकित कर दिया। राज्य पुरस्कार से सम्मानित टिकुली चित्रकला की वरिष्ठ कलाकार खुशबू कुमारी इस कार्यशाला की संयोजक थीं। गौरतलब है कि लोककलाओं में अध्ययन-अध्यापन के क्षेत्र में सक्रिय फोकार्टोपीडिया ने अपनी फोक-एड सीरीज के तहत युवा कलाकारों, खासतौर पर बच्चों में अनौपचारिक कला शिक्षा और वैयक्तिक अभिव्यक्ति को बढ़ावा देने के उद्देश्य से आर्टिस्टिक यंग कला कार्यशाला श्रृंखला की शुरुआत की है, जिसके तहत बच्चों के लिए प्रतिमाह मुफ्त कला कार्यशालाएं आयोजित की जाएंगी।
