ation and globalization, india has entered into a new era of economic development and therefore, community empowerment programme for handicrafts sector / cooperative / SHGs is a must to empower the artisans by making them active entrepreneurs cm primary stake holders of development and bringing them to a visible platform so as to enhance their operational efficiency and competitiveness to face the new challenges and make them viable and self supporting economic entity. Baba Saheb Ambedkar Hastshilp Vikas Yojna was launched & development of potential handicrafts cluster with participation of the craft persons at all stage of implementation of the scheme. VISION:-
The intention of our vision is to provide engagement facility to each and every rural people in his or her self-occupation and they are also motivated to take participation in area of development and promotion of Socio Economic as for as possible. Our organization realizes that in all development process, women’s participation must be ensured and community involvement and active participation is essential for sustainability of the programmes and balanced development. Improving well being of poor women and their families by providing life skills, products and services
Goal :-
• To reach 50,000 poor women and families in during fy 13-14, 50% of them would be from poorest and poor families, 40% from old age, differently able and destitute.
• Provide products & services - credit, linkage of organic farming, marketing, packaging, processing, and their entitlement benefits. NEED OF THE SIKKI GRASS CRAFT, SUJNI & PAPER MACHI CRAFTS.
• The artisans of the cluster also need a formed association for them which may have regular and fruitful interaction with all the players in the cluster and which may approach all the concerned agencies to sort out various problem of the cluster.
• The enterprises and entrepreneurs need to form consortium and channelized the whole cluster on cooperation and competition basis for entering into the market.
• The cluster needs its development with reference to changing business survey.
• The crafts person’s needs formation self help groups cooperation/ understanding among them and associated behavior to solve their problem themselves and make them self sustained.
• In the beginning there should be approach for enterprises / entrepreneurs and the artisans bridged at a later stage when perfect understanding is developed among them.
• It need regular contacts interaction and meeting of all the players in order to have an insight of the clusters and the understand the gaps in linkage and enforce logistics to fill up such gaps.
• The cluster should produce standard specific items and should clearly maintain the ingredients of the product.
• Every effort should be made to produce cheaper items with high quality and precision with tradition touch.
• There is need to give more emphasis or R&D encourage individuals who develop new designs patterns or prototypes which promote the business. It should also safeguard the patent right for such innovations. Objective of the project :
1. To provide maximum possible remuneration to the artisan and help them earning sustainable live hood.
2. To preserve the traditional skill of golden grass, sujni & paper machi among the artisans.
3. To provide income generation opportunities to traditional artisans.
4. To organize the skilled of golden grass, paper machi artisans to help them to raise their voice against exploitation.
5. Over all development of golden grass,,sujni promote paper machi artisans as they feel the are stood on their own feet.
6. To promote research, development and adaptation of technology, improve the life, working conditions and opportunities for gainful employment of women especially in rural areas.
7. To increase the contribution of women to life science, technology and development.
8. To promote research, development and adaptation of technology for improving the quality of life of the economically weaker sections of scheduled castes in urban/rural areas.
9. To promote activities such as workshops, seminars, publications, jathas, etc. which would help in achieving the objectives listed above.
