On 11th October 2025, the team and Weavhand had the privilege of distributing Sentry sanitary napkins to Divyang girl children at Deep This outreach is a vital step toward enhancing both dignity and health for girls with disabilities, who often encounter unique challenges in accessing menstrual hygiene products.
Our initiative not only provides essential supplies but also helps break the silence surrounding menstrual health and disability. Access to sanitary napkins directly supports girls’ well-being, comfort, and self-confidence. Studies indicate that such distributions reduce school absenteeism during menstruation and promote hygienic practices, empowering girls to engage fully in education and daily activities.
For girls with disabilities, the impact is particularly significant. These young individuals face a higher risk of health issues and social exclusion. Providing menstrual hygiene support upholds their right to dignity, health, and inclusion. This effort also raises awareness about their needs and underscores the importance of community support and accessible infrastructure.
We are grateful for the opportunity to contribute to such an impactful cause. SDRF remains committed to inclusive outreach and the well-being of every child. Small, compassionate actions—like menstrual hygiene support—can foster a healthier, more equitable society for all.
