New Book Review Live on PatnaDiaries

Some books connect with you instantly. Others make you struggle before they reveal why they matter.

Eckhart Tolle’s A New Earth was the second kind for me.

The preface was intriguing and created strong expectations, but the opening chapters felt abstract, repetitive and surprisingly difficult to continue. Honestly, I nearly gave up. Human beings apparently require spiritual awakening, but first we must survive the introduction.

As the book progressed, however, its ideas became clearer and far more relatable. Tolle’s reflections on ego, emotional pain, possessions, comparison, resentment, presence and purpose gradually began to justify the patience the book demanded.

The review explores:

• The central message of A New Earth
• Ego, identity and the constant need for validation
• The concept of the “pain-body”
• Presence, acceptance and conscious action
• Inner purpose versus outer achievement
• The book’s limitations and difficult opening
• Its relevance to PatnaDiaries, Bihar’s youth and community-building

The book leaves us with an uncomfortable but important question:

Can we create a better society without first examining the fear, ego, resentment and desire for recognition behind our actions?

Long time, no see.

After our first community gathering and the gradual progress of the Give Way to Ambulance campaign, it is time for us to reconnect, reflect, and plan what comes next.

Patna Diaries has always been more than just conversations. It is a space for people, ideas, civic action, and community-led change.

सेवा वही है, जो समय पर जीवन बचाने के संकल्प से जुड़ जाए। 🚑

आज पटना डायरीज़ के “Give Way To Ambulance” अभियान को माँ ब्लड सेंटर और श्री मुकेश हिसारिया जी ( Mukesh hissariya ) की टीम का आत्मीय सहयोग प्राप्त हुआ।

रक्तदान शिविर के अवसर पर श्री मुकेश हिसारिया जी ने न केवल इस अभियान का मनोबल बढ़ाया, बल्कि स्वयं आगे आकर लोगों से इस पहल से जुड़ने का आग्रह किया। उन्होंने कार्यक्रम के दौरान उपस्थित लोगों को एम्बुलेंस को रास्ता देने की आवश्यकता के बारे में जागरूक किया और बाहर आकर आगंतुकों से अपने वाहनों पर जागरूकता स्टिकर लगाने का निवेदन भी किया।

यह हमारे लिए अत्यंत प्रेरणादायक क्षण था।

माँ ब्लड सेंटर का कार्य पहले से ही मानवता और जीवन-रक्षा से जुड़ा हुआ है। ऐसे में जब रक्तदान जैसे पवित्र कार्य के साथ एम्बुलेंस जागरूकता का संदेश भी जुड़ता है, तो यह प्रयास और अधिक सार्थक हो जाता है।

पटना डायरीज़ श्री मुकेश हिसारिया जी, माँ ब्लड सेंटर तथा उनकी पूरी टीम का हृदय से आभार व्यक्त करता है, जिन्होंने इस अभियान को केवल समर्थन ही नहीं दिया, बल्कि स्वयं आगे बढ़कर इसे जन-जन तक पहुँचाने में भूमिका निभाई।

हमारा उद्देश्य सरल है — बिहार की सड़कों पर एम्बुलेंस को रास्ता देना केवल नियम नहीं, बल्कि संस्कार बने।

क्योंकि एम्बुलेंस केवल एक वाहन नहीं होती।
वह किसी के जीवन की आशा लेकर चलती है।

एक स्टिकर।
एक संदेश।
एक जागरूकता।
और संभव है — एक जीवन सुरक्षित।

This summer, let’s turn interest into rhythm. 🎸🎹

PD Live, in collaboration with ( ) TOKOR Patna, is starting a 10-Day Musical Summer Camp from 6 June at TOKOR, Patliputra.

Whether you are a complete beginner or someone who always wanted to learn music, this camp is designed for all age groups.

In just 10 days, the goal is to help you learn the basics and start playing 1–2 songs confidently.

Courses:
Guitar
Keyboard

Schedule:
Guitar: 4:00 PM – 5:00 PM
Keyboard: 5:00 PM – 6:00 PM
Every Monday, Wednesday & Friday

Course Fee: ₹1500
Training instruments will be provided.
Bringing your own instrument will be appreciated.

An ambulance should never have to ask for space.

This sticker is a reminder that behind every ambulance siren is a family praying for a few more minutes.

Starting this Sunday, Patna Diaries will begin distributing these stickers across Patna as part of our Give Way to Ambulance initiative.

We invite:
✅ Car owners to display the sticker
✅ Volunteers to help distribute them
✅ Societies, schools, colleges and organizations to join the movement

Because saving a life doesn't always require a hospital.

Sometimes it only requires moving your vehicle a few feet.
