🌱 Small capital. Big change.
At Diksha Foundation, we believe that economic independence is one of the strongest pathways for women’s dignity, confidence, and leadership in their communities.
Through the Poonji Project, we support women from underserved communities in Patna with small but meaningful livelihood assets-such as sewing machines, vending carts, etc- helping them start or expand their micro-businesses.
The goal is simple yet powerful:
enable women to earn, lead, and create stability for their families.
Today marked another important step in this journey.
✨ Today’s Distribution Update
Today we supported 16 women entrepreneurs across Patna’s urban slum communities by distributing:
• 13 Sewing Machines
• 3 Livelihood Carts
The distribution was carried out in the presence of Ward 27 Councillor Ms. Rani Devi, whose encouragement and support for community livelihoods added further strength to the initiative.
Each asset represents more than a livelihood-it represents confidence, agency, and the beginning of a new economic journey.
These women are now better equipped to start tailoring services, small vending businesses, and other local enterprises that can sustain their families and strengthen their communities.
💬 “When a woman gains access to opportunity, an entire family moves closer to stability.”
We remain deeply grateful to all our partners and community members who continue to believe in this vision of grassroots economic empowerment.
Together, step by step, we are building stronger livelihoods and stronger communities.
