Meet Vassuki from Karnataka ๐ŸŒŸ

Vassuki is raising her voice on a critical issue โ€” the absence of POSH Committees in many government colleges. ๐Ÿซ

Although the Karnataka government announced the formation of these committees back in 2012 to support students facing depression, harassment, and personal struggles, the reality is very different. With 500+ young lives lost every year due to depression and related issues, the need is urgent.

Vassuki and her peers are campaigning to ensure that every college has a functioning POSH Committee with expert teachers, so students can find guidance, support, and a safe space to share their struggles. โœŠ๐Ÿ’™

To address this, Rumati along with her cohort and youth volunteers has stepped forward to teach and support these children, managing classes in a way that every child gets proper attention and learning space.

Meet Pooja Bhati from Jodhpur, Rajasthan ๐ŸŒŸ

Seeing this injustice, Pooja along with her youth cohort has taken the initiative to help community members get their necessary documents made, so they can finally access their rights and government entitlements.

Her volunteering act is not just about documentsโ€”itโ€™s about ensuring dignity, equality, and a rightful place in society for one of the most excluded communities. โœจ
