Arpan Gramin Vikas Samiti (AGVS) is a Secular, Non-Political, Non- Governmental, Non- Profitable and registered organization in Patna District of Bihar. It was established in July 1985 by Mr. Ram Babu (Founder) at Sadisopur village in Bihta Block of Patna District of Bihar. Under the leadership of Mr. Kamlesh Kumar (secretary) organization is doing the activity. In the beginning days AGVS worked i
n Raghopur, Musahari, Parsa, Dhanare Chak, Adalipur, Chiriyantanr and Bahpura villages. Then it shifted its head office to Maner block in 1988 from Bihta Block. Since then AGVS is continuously working in 67 villages of Maner Block among downtrodden community to have approved to health facility, education and other basic needs of lives. It is also working in Harnoth block of Nalanda district, Bararah Block of Bhojpur district, Khijarsarai, Kochdih and Tikari Blocks of Gaya district of Bihar as well as Madhepura district. The organization has 11 governing body members. The organization is keen interested to take care gender as preferring women to work in association with organization. The credit worthy work of organization has given identification among community and this has happen due to ensuring people’s participation in every step like in planning, ex*****on, monitoring and evaluation.
