Our Story

BEN is a not-for-profit organisation formed with the sole motto of creating a platform for entrepreneurship in Bihar. We want to connect entrepreneurs, who are in and out of Bihar, bihari and non-bihari both, with each other and with the Government. We want to promote entrepreneurship culture among students too. BIhar Entrepreneur Network, connects Social and Commercial Entrepreneurs with stake in Bihar . Either you are an entrepreneur from Bihar or in Bihar or with stakes and interest in Bihar. Entrepreneur in the wider sense of term and not necessarily owner or founder of a commercial enterprise. Even a professor or housewife with entrepreneurial interests and pursuits belong here. Share your story, seek help and expertise, brainstorm, offer help and expertise .. and so on .. let's see how it evolves What BEN will not do At this time we are a young organisation (infant to toddler) and will not be in a position to support political movements or causes We will not accept any dharna/pradarshan No to all jokes, personal attacks on any person or govt or organisation however bad or corrupt (we will let the members use other platforms for that) Some of the founders are associated with various causes, organisations but they will not be using BEN to support those causes. BEN will provide platform to energised talents from various fields to come and work together for the development of Bihar. BEN will strive to achieve below mentioned goals ... Networking Platforms via web-based networks and also social and professional events in various cities of the world Strengthening Brand Bihar & increasing the footprint of Entrepreneurs in mainstream via pro-active PR & more engagement with Media Entrepreneurship support via helping Connect Ideas with Talent, Capital, Expertise and partner organisations like Tie, NEN, BIA, Bihar Chamber of Commerce, Bihar Foundation, Bihar Society, Karma Society,, Nasscom, AIF and others Events in various cities & districts of Bihar & later globally to integrate the entrepreneurs as a family together Think Tank & Publications on major entrepreurship issues, challenges and ideas ranging from Education, Healthcare, Good Governance, Public-Private Partnership, Energy, Rural Development, Infrastructure, Tourism, Agri-business etc Support System for current entrepreneurs, students planning to become entrepreneurs Philanthropy / Giving back to causes and institutions in Bihar and the local community globally wherever the entrepreneurs are Investments : We will also partner with and invite investment firms that are interested in Bihar and help them connect with entrepreneurs Seed Funds: Over time, we plan to evolve into or most likely partner with funding agencies globally, in India and Bihar and also govt to promote start-ups Private Equity & VCs: As we grow further, we will like to attact private equity and Venture Capitalists to tap the member entrepreneurs of BEN. BEN will serve as a channel between entrepreneurs in Bihar and the venture cpital/equity funds seeking opportunites in this most promissing land. It will bridge the information gap between the international capitalists and philanthropists with eligible sectors in Bihar. Platform: BEN will provide platform to energised talents from various fields to come and work together for the development of Bihar. Expertise & Mentoring: Given the diverse mix of experienced professionals, professors, entrepreneurs in this group, we will also arrange mentorship sessions and consulting as needed from veterans in Industry
