Cities are changing. The way we think about them must change too.

Urbanisation is creating new opportunities; but also bringing complex challenges around adequate housing, infrastructure, mobility, inequality, climate resilience and quality of life.

And these challenges cannot be solved in isolation.

Housing is connected to mobility.
Mobility is connected to access.
Access is connected to opportunity.
And every part of it shapes the city we call home.

That is why we need to connect the dots.

The 2nd World Cities Day Connect 2026 brings together diverse voices to explore how urban regeneration can help create cities that are more inclusive, sustainable and resilient, while ensuring adequate housing and better living conditions for all.

Aligned with UN Sustainable Development Goal 11 (SDG 11): Sustainable Cities and Communities, the Connect is a space for ideas, partnerships and action towards better cities.

Because the question is no longer simply how do we build more?

It is:

How do we regenerate the cities we already have and make them better for everyone?

📌‘ศรีญาดา’ ชู AI–One Health ขับเคลื่อนสุขภาพและความเป็นอยู่ที่ดี สร้างระบบสุขภาพยืดหยุ่นรับความท้าทายโลก
ทพญ.ศรีญาดา ปาลิมาพันธ์ ที่ปรึกษารัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงการอุดมศึกษา วิทยาศาสตร์ วิจัยและนวัตกรรม (อว.) ได้รับมอบหมายจาก ศ.ดร.ยศชนัน วงศ์สวัสดิ์ รองนายกรัฐมนตรีและรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวง อว. ให้เข้าร่วมการประชุมสุดยอดระดับโลกว่าด้วยสุขภาพและความเป็นอยู่ที่ดีอย่างยั่งยืน ครั้งที่ 2 (The Second World Summit on Sustainable Health and Well-Being: WSSHW 2026) โดยมี ดร.ดัชนามูรธี รามู ประธานสภาการพัฒนา ผู้แทนองค์การสหประชาชาติ นายอาทิตย์ หมีทอง เลขานุการรัฐมนตรีว่าการกระทรวงสาธารณสุข และแขกผู้มีเกียรติเข้าร่วม ณ ศูนย์ประชุมสหประชาชาติ (UNCC) กรุงเทพฯ
ทพญ.ศรีญาดา กล่าวว่า ปัจจุบันทั่วโลกกำลังเผชิญกับความท้าทายด้านสุขภาพที่มีความซับซ้อนและเชื่อมโยงกันมากขึ้น ทั้งโรคอุบัติใหม่ การเปลี่ยนแปลงโครงสร้างประชากรและการเข้าสู่สังคมสูงวัย ตลอดจนการเสื่อมโทรมของสิ่งแวดล้อมและการเปลี่ยนแปลงสภาพภูมิอากาศ ปัจจัยเหล่านี้ล้วนส่งผลโดยตรงต่อสุขภาพและความเป็นอยู่ที่ดีของประชาชน และสะท้อนให้เห็นอย่างชัดเจนว่า สุขภาพของมนุษย์ไม่สามารถแยกออกจากสุขภาพของโลกและสิ่งแวดล้อมได้ การบรรลุเป้าหมายการพัฒนาที่ยั่งยืน เป้าหมายที่ 3 หรือ SDG 3 ซึ่งมุ่งสร้างหลักประกันให้ประชาชนมีสุขภาพและความเป็นอยู่ที่ดี จึงไม่ใช่ภารกิจของภาคสาธารณสุขเพียงฝ่ายเดียว แต่จำเป็นต้องอาศัยความร่วมมือจากทุกภาคส่วน ทั้งภาครัฐ ภาควิชาการ ภาคเอกชน ภาคประชาสังคม และประชาคมระหว่างประเทศ เพื่อร่วมกันพัฒนาระบบสุขภาพที่มีความเข้มแข็ง ยืดหยุ่น และสามารถรับมือกับความเปลี่ยนแปลงในอนาคตได้
“กระทรวง อว. เชื่อมั่นว่า วิทยาศาสตร์ เทคโนโลยี การวิจัย นวัตกรรม และองค์ความรู้ เป็นกลไกสำคัญในการยกระดับระบบสุขภาพและสร้างความพร้อมในการรับมือกับความท้าทายในอนาคต โดยประเทศไทยจะเดินหน้าสนับสนุนการวิจัยและนวัตกรรมเพื่อพัฒนาแนวทางและเทคโนโลยีทางการแพทย์ที่มีประสิทธิภาพ เสริมสร้างความพร้อมในการรับมือกับโรคระบาด และส่งเสริมแนวคิด ‘สุขภาพหนึ่งเดียว’ หรือ One Health ซึ่งให้ความสำคัญกับความเชื่อมโยงระหว่างสุขภาพของมนุษย์ สุขภาพสัตว์ และสิ่งแวดล้อม โดยประเทศไทยมีหลักประกันสุขภาพถ้วนหน้าที่สะท้อนบทเรียนสำคัญว่า ระบบสุขภาพที่เข้มแข็งต้องเข้าถึงทุกคน การประยุกต์ใช้วิทยาศาสตร์และนวัตกรรมช่วยยกระดับคุณภาพการรักษา ขณะเดียวกันต้องลดช่องว่างในการเข้าถึงบริการ เพื่อให้ทุกคนได้รับประโยชน์อย่างเท่าเทียม” ทพญ.ศรีญาดา กล่าว
ทพญ.ศรีญาดา กล่าวต่อว่า การเปลี่ยนผ่านสู่ระบบดิจิทัลถือเป็นอีกหนึ่งปัจจัยสำคัญในการพัฒนาระบบสุขภาพ โดยเฉพาะการประยุกต์ใช้ปัญญาประดิษฐ์ (AI) แพลตฟอร์มดิจิทัลด้านสาธารณสุข และการแพทย์ทางไกล ซึ่งมีศักยภาพในการเพิ่มประสิทธิภาพการให้บริการ ลดข้อจำกัดด้านระยะทางและค่าใช้จ่าย รวมถึงเพิ่มโอกาสในการเข้าถึงบริการสุขภาพที่มีคุณภาพอย่างทั่วถึง อันจะนำไปสู่การลดความเหลื่อมล้ำและสอดคล้องกับหลักการ “ไม่ทิ้งใครไว้ข้างหลัง” พร้อมทั้งการพัฒนากำลังคนและการสร้างโอกาสให้คนรุ่นใหม่เข้ามามีส่วนร่วมก็มีความสำคัญอย่างยิ่ง เพราะการสร้างระบบสุขภาพที่ยั่งยืนจำเป็นต้องอาศัยบุคลากรที่มีความรู้ ความสามารถ และความคิดสร้างสรรค์ เราจึงให้ความสำคัญกับการศึกษา การพัฒนาทักษะ และการเสริมพลังให้แก่คนรุ่นใหม่ เพื่อให้สามารถเข้ามามีบทบาทในการสร้างสรรค์นวัตกรรมและร่วมกำหนดทิศทางของสุขภาพโลกในอนาคต
ทั้งนี้ การประชุมสุดยอดระดับโลกว่าด้วยสุขภาพและความเป็นอยู่ที่ดีอย่างยั่งยืน ครั้งที่ 2 ถือเป็นเวทีสำคัญที่มุ่งส่งเสริมความร่วมมือที่เป็นรูปธรรม และนำไปสู่การรับรอง “ปฏิญญากรุงเทพว่าด้วยสุขภาพและความเป็นอยู่ที่ดีอย่างยั่งยืน พ.ศ. 2569” ซึ่งจะเป็นหมุดหมายสำคัญในการแสดงเจตนารมณ์และความมุ่งมั่นร่วมกันของประชาคมโลก เพื่อยกระดับสุขภาพและความเป็นอยู่ที่ดีของประชาชนอย่างยั่งยืน โดยมุ่งสร้างระบบสุขภาพที่ทุกคนสามารถเข้าถึงได้อย่างเท่าเทียม และไม่ทิ้งใครไว้ข้างหลัง
