RABIES ACTION WEEK
We are sending 100 animal welfare charities across India a rabies control pack containing 1,000 vaccines to help super-charge their rabies control efforts in their community. Each pack contains:
RABIES VACCINES: 1,000 doses of high quality rabies vaccine.
TEMPERATURE MONITORING: A temperature monitor to enable you to track vaccine refrigerator storage temperatures.
COOLER BOXES: Two vaccine cooler boxes to maintain vaccine coldchain whilst conducting your campaign
DATA COLLECTION APP & PHONE: A smartphone phone with an app to help map the vaccination area and structure a systematic campaign to control rabies. Additional app logins will also be provided for the rest of the team.
TRAINING: A vaccination training guide with QR codes directing them to WVS Academy resources for vaccine storage / handline / methods.
EDUCATION MATERIALS: A link to a download of an education leaflet to put their logos on and print for the campaign.

Mission Rabies celebrates World Rabies Day by acknowledging and thanking you all for your efforts and contributions towards the eradication of this zoonosis disease. In 2013, Mission Rabies was launched to protect both, people and animals, in areas heavily impacted by rabies.
India, the global epicenter of rabies, became a focal point for our efforts, with Goa chosen as a model state for eliminating rabies across the country. We expanded our vaccination, education, and surveillance initiatives, and the impact is clear: rabies deaths in our project areas are dropping, and Goa achieved ‘Rabies Controlled Area’ status in 2021.
So far, we have vaccinated over 40 lakh dogs and educated more than 80 lakh children about rabies prevention - helping to safeguard both human and animal lives.
Mission Rabies pledges to make this the last rabies generation.

‼️TARGET ACHIEVED ‼️
The Nagpur Municipal Corporation, in collaboration with Mission Rabies and NPAWS, has achieved a major milestone in the #RabiesMuktNagpur campaign, vaccinating 17,392 dogs—surpassing their initial target of 15,000 in just 15 days! 🐾🎉
This mass vaccination drive, which runs throughout September, aims to vaccinate 20,000 dogs by World Rabies Day on September 28th. Special thanks go to the incredible efforts of students from Nagpur Veterinary College, catchers, vaccinators, and all the volunteers on the ground.
