Empowering Women Through Education

At our Eklati Curtorim centre, women confidently took a step forward by appearing for their exams, showing determination and commitment to learning.

Meanwhile, at our Chimbel centre, women are preparing themselves with enthusiasm and courage, getting ready to face exams after a long gap. Their spirit reflects resilience and the belief that it’s never too late to learn and grow.

We are proud of each one of them for embracing this journey of education and self-improvement.

Inculcating the Habit of Reading with the help of Bookworm mobile library

At our centre, we have made provisions to nurture and encourage the habit of reading among our children. Creating a space where books are easily accessible allows them to explore, learn, and grow through stories and knowledge.

By introducing regular reading time and guiding them through books, we aim to spark curiosity, improve language skills, and build confidence. Small steps today will help shape brighter, informed futures tomorrow.

We are also happy to share our collaboration with Bookworm, who have committed to visit every Tuesday at Aldeia. Yesterday, the children had a wonderful experience exploring books from their mobile library, discovering new stories with great excitement.

Hygiene and Health Care at Our Centre.

Yesterday we focused on the importance of hygiene and well-being among our children. A nutritious mid-day meal was generously provided by Om Pranic Healing Centre, ensuring that the children received healthy nourishment.

Alongside this, our dedicated teacher, Fiza, took the initiative to trim the children’s nails and ensure they were clean and well-groomed. This simple yet essential practice helps instill good hygiene habits from a young age.

Through small steps like these, we continue to nurture healthier lifestyles and create a safe, caring environment for our children.

Earth Day 2026 – Present, Future & Our Responsibility

As we celebrate Earth Day 2026 across our four centres, we pause to reflect on the current state of our planet. Rising temperatures, pollution, deforestation, and water scarcity remind us that our Earth is under stress.

The future depends on the choices we make today. If we act responsibly, we can create a greener, healthier world for the next generation. If not, the challenges will only grow deeper.

What can we do?
Plant more trees, save water and electricity, reduce plastic use, reuse and recycle, and keep our surroundings clean. Small actions, when done together, create big change.

Today, our children learned the importance of caring for nature—because they are the guardians of tomorrow.

Let’s pledge to protect our planet, not just today, but every day.

The older group (Age 8–17) showcased teamwork, strength, and determination through thrilling games like Dog and the Bone, Relay Race, and the ever-fun Two Leg Race. Every race reflected their passion and sportsmanship.

It was heartwarming to see our wonderful ladies join in with equal excitement, participating in Lemon and Spoon, Peanut and straw, and the Paper Strip Game—proving that age is just a number when it comes to having fun!

Our first prize winners were proudly awarded gold medals , while the second prize winners received certificates of appreciation—celebrating the effort and spirit of every participant.

More than winning, the day was about participation, confidence, and togetherness. Smiles, laughter, and encouragement filled every moment, making it a truly memorable celebration, to build a stronger, happier communities.

This year, was something different for a family friend who,
instead of a grand party, loud music, and a table full of cake, spent his birthday sharing smiles with those who often go unseen—the less fortunate, the unheard, the ones who deserve love just as much as anyone else.

There were no fancy decorations, no expensive gifts only some goodies… but there was something far more beautiful—genuine laughter, grateful eyes, and hearts connecting in the simplest way.

In those moments, like this one realized that true celebration is not about how much we have, but how much we can give. A small act of kindness can light up someone’s entire world—and in return, it fills your soul in ways no party ever could.

Today wasn’t just about growing a year older, but growing a little kinder, a little more grateful, and a lot more human.

There was one wish carried forward that is ,
May we all find joy not just in celebrating ourselves, but in lifting others along the way.

On 18th April 2026, Ms. Anita Pereira from NGO Udant conducted engaging and insightful sessions for students of Classes 9 & 10 at Our Lady of Green Rosary High School,Dona Paula.

These meaningful sessions were made possible in partnership with the Rotary Club of Miramar, with valuable assistance from Dr. Sonali Kini.

The sessions covered important topics like Body Mapping, Adolescent Sexual Health, and understanding the difference between Friendship, Infatuation, Love.

Students were encouraged to love and respect their bodies, while also learning about the physical and emotional changes during adolescence. The discussion beautifully highlighted how:
- Friendship grows gradually through shared experiences
- Infatuation may arise quickly but can fade
- Love develops over time, building both friendship and attraction into something meaningful and lasting

The sessions were interactive, empowering, and truly beneficial for the students, helping them gain awareness, confidence, and clarity at this important stage of life.
