Imagine, how wonderful it will be to work in our beloved Goa! GITP is a reg
istered, apolitical group of software professionals from Goa. We believe that year after year Goa produces exceptional talent in the field of IT and allied industries. We also believe that given sufficient opportunities, many Goan’s would prefer staying in amchem Goa instead of traveling to other states/countries in search of opportunities. Keeping these in mind, we formed team GITP. Since inception we have undertaken numerous initiatives to improve the state of IT in Goa. Some initiatives are:
Goa IT manifesto 2017 : A manifesto that highlights various initiatives if implemented will improve the livelihood and employment of Goan’s in Goa. The manifesto can be divided into 4 sections : Transparent and efficient governance, Inclusive and Sustainable development, Revamp Education and Drive Technology Excellence

1) Project GEIT – Goan’s Empowered with IT : An initiative that aims to educate young minds in IT and help those that do not have access to technology 24*7
2) Tech Balcao - A series on Prudent TV showcasing inspiring stories of Goan’s using technology in various fields in Goa
3) GSR – Goa Skills Registry Crowdsourced database of Goan’s in the Indian and global IT industry to determine the breadth and depth of the Goan IT-relevant talent pool.
4) GITP recommendations towards draft Goa IT Investment Policy 2015
5) Memorandum for Promotion of locally sustainable IT industry to government
6) GITP is also in talks with different political parties to understand their stand on IT for Goa. In order for these initiatives to be successful, we need the support of each and ever Goan brother and sister. We welcome all ideas, suggestions and help to better the state of IT in Goa.
