Heart wrenching, isn't it?
Stories like these emphasise on the importance to create awareness and educate each and every child in our country to stay safe, fearless and protect themselves.
Did you know a child can be taught simple things like safe and unsafe touch at grade 1 of schooling?
We, at Bachpan, are taking small steps everyday, not only to educate children but also to empower them. Our duty doesn't end at spreading awareness, we also provide therapy and have support groups for the survivors!

“I looked around and found no help. So I called on the helpline number and they sent aid”- sighed a child who seeked support!
We constantly try to remain strong, not give-in to the troubles we face. But why keep it in when we can share the load and come out even stronger? While most of us prefer to share our issues with a known face, we cannot always rely on the people we know, albeit circumstantial. This is when these 4 HELPLINE 🚨 numbers come to our aid.
Available 24X7, they will be there for you when no one else will. Hence, save these numbers and make sure that the children around you know them by heart. With these small steps we can build a more secure present and future for the children!

A heartsinking story of a survivor who faced repetitive abuse when she tried putting trust in someone.

Adolescence is a very sensitive period to physical and psychological aspects of a child's development. Traumas like these affect the psychological aspect and can stay with the child for an entire lifetime.

Open communication and awareness are a must for this age group. Survivors should be given proper therapy to treat the long-term consequences of child s*xual abuse

Bachpan makes small efforts consistently to spread awareness and educate children, parents, and teachers about child s*xual abuse.

The only window to the world for a child are parents, the impact that they can create in safeguarding children can not be done by anyone else. Adults shape the consciousness of the world for children.

We are collectively responsible for their perception. Hence, let's work on ourselves together to make it a better place for their innocence to flourish.

Digging out those small portions from your busy schedule and making time for change is all that's needed. Together, let's take a stand against child s*xual abuse and shape their future.
