A new year, new beginnings for all our girls in Jaipur. As we start the countdown to our yearly visit in 11 days time i think back to the last year.
Progress made, lessons learned, stories told.

We wish all our girls the strength, motivation and encouragement to step into doors opened for them in 2024.

We do this together with our wonderful team and partner .jaipur

Cannot wait to start this year together

It is one of the traditions during Diwali, lighting diyas and lamps: To represent the victory of light over darkness and good over evil, people light traditional oil lamps called diyas and decorative candles in their homes and surroundings.

It is a period of new beginnings, of looking forward.

Like we look forward, together with our girls. Forward towards a better and brighter future. A future built on the foundation of education!

International Day of the Girl Child is an annual and internationally recognized observance that empowers girls and amplifies their voices. It acknowledges the importance, power, and potential of adolescent girls by encouraging the opening up of more opportunities for them.

This is the reason why we continue to support girls with access to a quality education in India.

We still have a long way to go but we will never stop walking along side them whilst they learn and work towards a better future!

Today is International Literacy Day.
An important day, where we stand still and realize the importance of being able to read, write and have numeric skills. For most of you, so vert normal but for many also a larger challenge that we can imagine.

There are more than 281 million illiterate people in India.
Some 25 million are 7–14 years old and 89 million 15–35 years old — together they make up more than 40 percent of total illiterate population.

That is why we continue our work in raising funds so that girls have access to a quality eduction!

A lot of work still needs to be done!

Today, in India, it is National Teachers Day. Words cannot expres show much we have to thank our teachers and how they not only teach the girls but also support them on wider challenges they face. They reach out of the classroom into the families and help wherever they can! And how much have you thought us over the past years!

We celebrate you today!

Yesterday marked a massive day for all those waiting for the results of their finals in The Netherlands! Congratulations to all who passed!! The start of a new area, the start of many opportunities.

Houses all over the Netherlands mark the success of passing the national exams by raising the national flag with schooldag attached. A tradition started in the 1950s where the flag is the mark of celebration and the bag a sign of relief not having to carry it any.
