Communicare Trust Connecting the world and breaking all barriers by using languages as a bridge. At present also conducts courses in Hindi, Konkani, Spanish & German languages.

Communicare Trust, based in Dona Paula, has been involved in educational and cultural dissemination, especially through language classes. For the past 7 years, has been conducting language classes for students from 8th to 12th standard in Portuguese. Besides it has been conducting non-curriculum classes for adults and children in Portuguese. Communicare has undertaken projects in association with

International entities. The current project, which is funded by IPAD Portugal, is to create an online bibliography of books in the Central Library as well as in private libraries, with the cooperation of Department of Art & Culture. This will enable researcher’s access to books in existence today, from remote locations. On Prudent Media one can follow the most recent project of Communicare: Kaleidoscope – a competition for Higher Secondary Schools in 5 languages: Hindi, Konkani, Marathi, Portuguese and French. Donations to the trust are deductible u/s 80G of the I.T act w.e.f 01/04/2013, vide order No:F.No CIT/PNJ/39-C/8-39/80G/2014-15 dated 09/07/2014 of Commissioner of Income Tax, Panaji.

The Stories of Here and There is a book written by students from India, Portugal, and Cape Verde.
It brought together over 500 students from five different schools who brought to life three stories based on one of the UN's sustainable development goals: climate change.
The students wrote, illustrated, translated, and even produced three animated films based on the stories they created.
The book was first launched in Portugal, then in Cape Verde, and finally arrived in Goa, to the delight of the participating students.
After its launch at the school, the book was presented to the public at the Camões Institute in Panjim by director Delfim Correia da Silva and Isabel Raimundo, the Portuguese Consul in Goa.

Today we will be in Seraulim to mark the creation of a new book in the making: Kalakriti II.

Our journey with Kalakriti began in 2017, with students from Santo Miguel School in Talegao, where they wrote, illustrated, and animated four stories based on Waste Management.

The enthusiasm with which the book was created and received prompts us to launch our Stories From Here and Beyond series, which follows a similar concept, this time drawing in international collaborations to produce the final product.

Now, we've teamed up with Bookworm to bring you Kalakriti II. A joint effort by Goa's Bookworm libraries, the book promises to be an amalgamation of the best ideas of each.

This program will run from September until December, with each library contributing to a different stage of the process.

Today marks the 20th anniversary of Communicare Trust!
I will never forget the day we went to Junta House to register the trust: Bossuet (who is taking the photo), Lisa Dias Noronha, Avdhut Kamat, Akash Timblo, and me.
I spent the whole day searching for this photo and finally found it!
At the time, I was pregnant with my second child, Maya, who was born just 10 days after this picture was taken.
Two years later, we lost Avdhut, and Darryl Pereira joined us (second photo). Many more changes followed, but Lisa, Bossuet, and I continue to safeguard our trust to this day.

Communicare Trust presents Cantaram for the community.

In collaboration with Carmel College, St. Xavier’s College, Entre Nós, and Leaxan Freitas, we are bringing the work of lesser-known Goan composers to our youth.

Featuring a live music segment by Entre Nós, alongside curated vinyl recordings by Leaxan Freitas, students will learn about our Goan composers and their contributions to our musical heritage, through performances, photos, and lyrics.

The aim is to encourage students to connect with Konkani music as they can listen, sing, and learn about different rhythms and the history of cantaram through the wealth of knowledge our performers possess.
