LAPTOPS AND AWARDS PRESENTED TO SUPER KIDS OF ROHIT MEMORIAL TRUST

The Rohit Memorial Trust held its Annual Chairman’s Table of Excellence on Saturday, 15th August, 2026 at the Novotel Varun Beach. Many of the children mentored by the Trust were presented Laptops and Awards of Excellence under the Gyanpathashala Mentorship Programme run by the Trust. This initiative is designed to educate and motivate brilliant students, both girls and boys, from under-privileged backgrounds, to shine in their studies.

Uma Maheswari, who just graduated from Dr. LB Degree College was felicitated by the Trust for having secured a prestigious placement in the South Indian Bank, being awarded a C Certificate from NCC in A Grade and completing her degree with a CGPA of 9/10. She also won an all expenses paid trip for herself and one parent to travel by air for a pilgrimage. It is pertinent to mention here that Uma Maheswari has been educated and mentored by the Trust from her 8th standard till her Graduation this year.

The Laptops and Awards were presented by Ms. Jayashree Hatangadi and Mr. Sohan Hatangadi, who were the Special Guests of Honour for the evening. They both spoke on the importance of developing one’s personality in a well-rounded manner and motivated the mentees. Mr. Sudarshan, Famous Magician and Mentalist, performed some mind-blowing acts to keep the audience spellbound. He also conducted lively games for the children. It was a thrilling event sponsored entirely by the Novotel Varun Beach, who have been helping the Trust in many ways. The function was graced by the Mentors of the children and a few Trustees.
