Students Islamic Organization of India(SIO) is the students' wing of Jamaat-e-Islami Hind. According to its constitution, it aims at presenting Da’wah before students and youth, promote virtues, and moral values in educational institutions. The organization has been termed as a moderate Muslim students union, and is said to take part in social service and relief activities. It is reported to organ
ise activities for the Muslim youths in order to engage them in peaceful religious activities, and to avoid communal activity and sentiment. The Students Islamic Organisation of India has taken up the task of changing the present materailist education system into a moral and meaningful education system. The concern of humanity should become a purpose of education. The student community should not be targeted as the upcoming slaves of corporates.
ഇന്ത്യൻ ജമാഅത്തെ ഇസ്ലാമിയുടെ വിദ്യാർത്ഥി യുവജനവിഭാഗമാണ് സ്റ്റുഡന്റ്സ് ഇസ്ലാമിക് ഓർഗനൈസേഷൻ ഓഫ് ഇന്ത്യ അഥവാ എസ്.ഐ.ഒ. 1982 ഒക്ടോബർ 19-നാണ് എസ്.ഐ.ഒ രൂപവത്കരിച്ചത്. വിദ്യാഭ്യാസരംഗത്തെ അനീതികൾക്കും വിവേചനങ്ങൾക്കുമെതിരെയും വിദ്യാർഥികളുടെ ന്യായമായ അവകാശങ്ങൾക്കുവേണ്ടി പ്രക്ഷോഭങ്ങൾ സംഘടിപ്പിക്കുന്നു. തങ്ങളുടെ പഠനത്തിൽ മികവ് പുലർത്താൻ വിദ്യാർഥികൾക്ക് പ്രേരണയും പിന്തുണയും പ്രോൽസാഹനവും നൽകുന്നു. പഠനം, സമരം, സേവനം എന്നാണ് എസ്.ഐ.ഒ യുടെ മുദ്രാവാക്യം. വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ പ്രശ്നങ്ങൾ ഏറ്റെടുക്കുകയും സർക്കാറുകൾക്ക് മുമ്പിൽ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ നയരേഖ സമർപ്പിക്കുകയും ചെയ്യുന്നുണ്ട്. വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ പ്രക്ഷോഭങ്ങളോടൊപ്പം തന്നെ വിദ്യാഭ്യാസ സേവനരംഗത്തും എസ്.ഐ.ഒ ഇടപെട്ടുകൊണ്ടിരിക്കുന്നു.
