Samovila Foundation stands deeply disappointed by the order passed by the Supreme Court on 7 Nov 2025 regarding the treatment of India’s street dogs. An order that should have protected the voiceless has instead overlooked their basic right to live with dignity and safety.
Street dogs are not a nuisance. They are living beings who rely on our compassion, and they deserve humane policies rooted in science, empathy, and fairness. As a nation, we must do better.
