The TERM Society is an association of domain experts from the related disciplines of Forestry, Wildlife, Medicinal Aromatic PlantsSoil and Moisture Conservation, Geographical Information Systems, Geology, Sociology & Rural Development, —with the objective of providing a platform for holistic management of local Environmental Resources. The financial experts and social workers have associated them

selves under this society. Young experts from the field of G.I.S & Remote Sensing, Soil Engineering, Geographical Information Systems, Mining and Natural Resource Management, and Information Technology are members of the society. The society has expertise for conception, implementation and monitoring of projects related to air, water, soil and natural resource (flora and fauna) management in a scientific manner. Special attention is given to compilation of field inventories and status of a particular environment resource, so as to develop realistic holistic management model and facilitate post project monitoring. The society is endowed with qualified and experienced field domain experts of all related disciplines for preparation of inventories of natural resource of respective domains, who are further supported by Domain Expert Scientists.

The Pong Dam Lake Wildlife Sanctuary, also known as Maharana Pratap Sagar, is a vital man-made wetland in Himachal Pradesh, India, famous for immense avian biodiversity, serving as a crucial stop for migratory birds like Bar-headed Geese, and designated a Ramsar Site in 2002 for its ecological importance. Formed by the Pong Dam on the Beas River, it's a major habitat for over 220 bird species, supports local fishing communities, and features diverse flora and fauna, including sambar and leopards.
