DURGA FOUNDATION is a non-government, non-profit organization privately funded by its members and donors who are not waiting to hit a jackpot to start giving back to society. It is a platform for enthusiastic people like you and me, who are willing to do their bit for society. At DF, we understand that the role of education in poverty eradication is crucial. Education is the most powerful weapon to combat poverty. No country has succeeded without educating its people. Education is not only important in reducing poverty, but also the key to wealth creation. For us education is not limited to degrees and certificates. There is a saying that "Knowing is not enough; we must apply". Keeping this in mind we work mainly in the field of Education and Vocational Training, helping poor/uneducated people become self reliant. This organization is working for the people irrespective of their background and does not recognize the barriers of caste, creed or religion.
