A meaningful coming together of voices that shape children’s futures.
In a recent stakeholder meeting, our child champions, teachers, and representatives from health, ICDS, and SHGs joined parents to reflect on students’ participation and learning. The discussions were grounded, honest, and forward-looking.
With the support of Association Essentiel, Switzerland, Rajadighi Community Health Service Society (RCHSS) has been consistently working to identify, enrol, and support out-of-school children—helping them return to and continue their education journey.
Teachers shared their appreciation for the infrastructure support extended to three schools, including purified drinking water facilities and the collective efforts during Shramadaan Utsav to build and nurture school kitchen gardens. Iron net fencing has further ensured the protection and sustainability of these spaces.
These kitchen gardens are already contributing to daily mid-day meals with fresh, nutritious vegetables, while also becoming learning spaces where children engage with practical skills like gardening.
The half-day meeting concluded on a warm note with the distribution of pending Rural Rise awards to the mothers and a joyful group photograph.
