My Dear,
I am Umashankar Mandal, Geography Teacher. Working on Mangrove Plantation, Mangrove Army, Tiger Feminine(Widow) Livelihoods, Women's Health and Children's Education in the last forested areas of Indian Sundarbans. We have been working continuously since the aftermath of Ayala on May 25, 2009. During the aftermath of Ayala, there was extensive damage to the ecosystem in the Chargheri area. So far, 13,28,000 mangrove plantations have been established in human settlement areas in the Sundarbans.
since that time 1) Garan (Ceriops decandra) 2) Bine (Avicennia alba,marina, A officinales) 3) Garjan (Rhizophora mucronata) 4) kakra (Bruguiera gymnorrhiza) 5) Dhundul (Xylocarpus granatum) 6) Pashur (Xylocarpus mekongensis) 7) Keora (Sonneratia apetala) 8) Gewa (Excoecaria agallocha) 9) Sundari (Heritiera fomes) 10) Danighas (Porteresia coarctata) Mangrove species are planted.
In areas adjacent to mangroves, the primary producers are microscopic algae, macroalgae, and sea grasses. As a result, red fiddler, blue fiddler, yellow fiddler, mud crab, king crab, mud scrip build up a lot of settlements. Besides, a lot of heron , kingfisher, kite, parrot , Common myna bird build shelters. However, after the storm, I had made artificial bird nests in five hundred trees. As the forest has become dense, the bee traffic is now bustling, besides for the development of ecology women's integration, sanitary napkin and medical camp, pond renovation, mangrove nursery, a non-formal school for environmental education, mangrove forest have been created.
We as the first Indian and Bengali for the success of environmental work. W.W. F Acknowledgment Received Dr: Re*****on International Award-21, Savior of Biodiversity Award-24(West bengal goverment ), Edulite Excellence Award-24. Besides, I help students from abroad who are interested in various types of research work. In one word, I am trying to create a socio-ecological balance. Besides, Purbasha Eco Helpline Society has been organized.
