ORIGINS

The Compound Name “EL ELYON” which means “GOD MOST HIGH” occurs in Genesis 14:18-20 as the God whose priest was Melchizedek, King of Salem. The Form Appears again almost immediately in verse 22, used by Abraham in an oath to the king of S***m. El Elyon can be translated as “THE NOST EXALTED GOD” (Psalm 57:2). El Elyon (Biblical Hebrew) is an epithet of the God of the Israelites in the Hebrew Bible. El Elyon is usually rendered in English as “God Most High”. El Elyon Institute which is also known EEI, established on 8th Feb 2019 by its Founder Mr. Sainkupar Syngkli, and the Co-Founding Member Ms. Eva Sweety Kharjana, Ms. Darihun Lyngdoh, and Mr. Aibor Shadap for the purpose of serving the privileged people of Ri-Bhoi District and Meghalaya as a whole through the promotion of Human Resource with the Motto: “Passion Meets Education”.

Aspirational Skills Mapping Survey 2026 | Summer Internship Programme

Learning goes beyond the classroom. As part of the Summer Internship Programme, students of Ri Bhoi College are actively conducting the Aspirational Skills Mapping Survey 2026 across Ri Bhoi District under the guidance of EL ELYON INSTITUTE.

This internship provides students with hands-on experience in field research, community engagement, communication, digital data collection, and evidence-based analysis while helping identify the aspirations, skill gaps, and employment opportunities of the district's youth. The findings will contribute to strengthening future skill development initiatives, employment opportunities, entrepreneurship promotion, and informed policy planning in Ri Bhoi District.

A New Journey Begins!

The Orientation Programme for the Craft Baking Technician Training Programme was successfully held on 15th June 2026 at El Elyon Institute, Nongpoh under the Skills Meghalaya Project.

Trainees received their learning materials and were introduced to the course structure, training guidelines, certification process, and exciting career opportunities in the baking sector.

We were honoured by the presence of Shri Saibok Khriam, SDO, Ri Bhoi District, who encouraged the trainees as they begin their journey towards skill, employment, and entrepreneurship.

IEC Campaign under successfully conducted across various villages of Ri-Bhoi District under the Dharti Aaba Janbhagidari Abhiyan (DAJGUA).

El Elyon Institute actively participated in the awareness and mobilization programme to inform rural communities and unemployed youth about the Skills Meghalaya Project, skill development opportunities, livelihood generation, and various Government welfare schemes and services in coordination with different departments and organizations.

Additionally, mobilization activities were also conducted at Iew Mawlong, Nongpoh, to create awareness about the benefits and opportunities available under Skills Meghalaya.
