🩸🌸 Menstrual Hygiene Day 2026 | Reaching the Last Mile with Dignity and Care 🌸🩸

On this Menstrual Hygiene Day, we reaffirm our commitment to ensuring that every girl and woman has access to accurate information, safe menstrual hygiene practices, and the dignity they deserve.

Aligned with the spirit of the recent observations by the Supreme Court of India, which highlighted menstrual health as an essential component of dignity, equality, health, and education, it is imperative that we collectively work towards breaking barriers and ending the stigma associated with menstruation.

Under the SBI Sanjeevani – Clinic on Wheels Project, supported by SBI Foundation and implemented by PANKH, focused awareness and health promotion activities on menstrual hygiene were conducted across 60 villages (20 villages each) in Balrampur, Bahraich (Uttar Pradesh), and Udham Singh Nagar (Uttarakhand).

Through community outreach sessions, adolescent health discussions, and awareness campaigns, the initiative aimed to:

✅ Promote safe menstrual hygiene practices among adolescent girls and women
✅ Address myths, misconceptions, and social taboos around menstruation
✅ Enhance awareness regarding reproductive and menstrual health
✅ Encourage the use of hygienic menstrual products and proper disposal practices
✅ Strengthen community dialogue around women's health and dignity

The response from communities has been encouraging, reflecting the growing need for continued awareness and access to menstrual health services in rural and underserved areas.

At PANKH, we believe that no girl should miss education, compromise her health, or face discrimination because of menstruation. Together, we can build communities where menstrual health is understood, respected, and supported.

Menstrual Health is a Right. Dignity is Non-Negotiable.

🌿 Healthcare Where It’s Needed Most

Under our Sanjeevani Project, we are actively running 3 project locations Bahraich, balrampur and udham singh nagar uttarakhand, where our medical teams are conducting daily OPD services in underserved communities.

From consultations to free medicines and basic treatment, we are reaching areas where healthcare facilities are limited. Our goal is simple — ensure no one is left behind when it comes to basic healthcare.

Every day. Every village. Every life matters.

🌱 Strengthening Farmers’ Knowledge through Smart Crop Practices 🌱

At PANKH, we continue to work closely with small and marginal farmers across Uttar Pradesh to promote sustainable and scientific agriculture practices. One of our recent initiatives focuses on training farmers to use the Leaf Color Card (LCC) — a simple yet powerful tool that helps assess crop leaf color and determine the right fertilizer requirement.

This approach enables farmers to:
✅ Apply fertilizers more precisely
✅ Reduce input costs
✅ Improve crop health and productivity
✅ Adopt eco-friendly farming practices

Through regular capacity-building sessions, field demonstrations, and technology introduction, we are empowering farmers with practical knowledge that leads to better decision-making on the field.

Our goal is not just higher yields, but informed, confident, and self-reliant farmers who can sustainably manage their crops and resources.

Together, we move towards smarter, greener, and more resilient agriculture. 🌾
