CAHO presents “Empowering Pharmacists for Healthier Futures: Ground Realities & Expanding Horizons,” a 90-minute panel discussion exploring the evolving role of pharmacists in healthcare.

CAHO presents the Pharmacy Excellence Program, a standards-based initiative designed to advance medication safety, quality, patient-centred pharmaceutical care, and operational excellence in hospital pharmacies.

The programme focuses on medication safety and management, safe dispensing practices, procurement and inventory excellence, regulatory and accreditation compliance, quality improvement and risk management, and innovation and digital transformation.

Through a structured standards framework, implementation support, toolkits, and independent expert assessment, the programme aims to help healthcare organisations strengthen pharmacy services and benchmark against recognised best practices.

Eligible organisations include hospitals, medical colleges, multi-specialty and specialty hospitals, and healthcare organisations with pharmacy services.

CAHO’s JEEVAN Student Connect, in collaboration with Parul Institute of Public Health, Parul University, was successfully conducted on 18th September 2026 at Parul University, bringing together 50 students for a hands-on learning experience focused on healthcare operations and patient care enhancement.

The pre-conference workshop, themed “Strengthening Small and Medium Hospitals,” focused on PDSA and the Seven Basic Quality Tools. The sessions covered quality improvement in healthcare, practical application of the Seven Quality Tools, group activities, presentations, facilitator debriefs, and a Rapid PDSA Sprint, enabling students to explore practical approaches to healthcare quality improvement.

The workshop featured Dr. Dhanya Michael, Dr. Babu Narayanan, and Ms. Payal Thakker, who guided participants through the interactive sessions and activities.

CAHO successfully organised the Ethics and Clinical Research – Good Clinical Practices (GCP) Workshop at Sankara Eye Hospital, Pammal, Chennai, on 20th September 2026, bringing together 37 healthcare professionals for a focused one-day programme on research ethics and clinical research.

The workshop covered the establishment and functioning of Research Ethics Committees, ethical principles and scientific integrity, regulatory requirements, Good Clinical Practices (GCP), and ethical design, conduct, and reporting of clinical research. It also focused on supporting medical teachers in guiding and mentoring student research.

The programme was led by Prof. Satish Chandra, Dr. Pratheesh Ravindran, and Dr. Pankaj B. Shah, who shared their expertise and practical insights with the participants.
