This Pride Month, all of us here at Basera Samajik Sansthan are taking the time to really celebrate the incredible strength, resilience, and diversity of the LGBTQIA+ community. People go through so much just to be themselves, and that courage is something worth recognizing. We truly believe that absolutely every person out there deserves to live their life with dignity. Everyone deserves respect, equality, and the basic freedom to just be exactly who they are without hiding.

Here at Basera Samajik Sansthan, we don't just talk about it. We have clear goals that we work on every single day. Our main commitments are:
💜 Helping LGBTQIA+ folks find the power to live their lives proudly and with total confidence.
📚 Getting out into different communities to share knowledge, so we can build real awareness and acceptance from the ground up.
📢 Speaking up to fight for equal rights, pushing for fairness in the justice system, and making sure nobody gets left out of society.
🤝 Building spaces that are safe, welcoming, and genuinely inclusive for everyone who walks through the doors.
When you think about it, Pride is so much more than just a month-long celebration. It is an ongoing movement. We are pushing for a future where nobody ever has to face discrimination simply because of who they happen to be or who they choose to love.

✨ Empowering Voices, Securing Rights! ✨
Knowledge is the strongest tool for change. Under Project SAHAS, Basera Samajik Sansthan successfully organized a specialized Legal Aid Camp dedicated to the Transgender and Hijra community. 🏳️‍⚧️⚖️
The session, led by the brilliant Ms. Priya Sinha (Advocate), was an eye-opener on legal protections, constitutional rights, and the specific avenues available for accessing justice.
🔹 Key Highlights of the Day:
• Deep dive into Transgender Rights and legal safeguards.
• Direct guidance on accessing Free Legal Services.
• A safe and supportive space for 15 community members to clarify legal concerns and seek expert advice.
A huge shoutout to our leadership, Ms. Ramkali (Project Director) and Mr. Ashraf Hussain (Project Coordinator), for driving this initiative forward and ensuring our community stays informed, protected, and powerful.

✨ Integrated Health Camp Update ✨

Basera Samajik Sansthan has successfully conducted 2 Integrated Health Camps at:
📍 Sarfabad (Sec-73, Bisrakh)
📍 Tugalpur, Dankaur

Organized under UPSACS & NACO, with the support of ICTC and STI Centre, providing HIV testing, STI consultation, TB screening, and general health services to the community.

Basera Samajik Sansthan, with the support of Dasra–Pride Fund, conducted a sensitization workshop on “Sex, Gender and Sexuality” at Jaipuria College, Sector 62, Noida.

The session focused on building an accurate and inclusive understanding of s*x, gender identity, and s*xual orientation while promoting respect for the LGBTQIA+ community.

Students actively participated, asked thoughtful questions, and engaged in meaningful discussions — creating a safe space for dialogue and learning. 🌈✨

The session highlighted free legal services, constitutional rights, and pathways to access justice.

We successfully conducted a Law Enforcement Meeting under the Sahas Project on 7 February 2026, bringing together Police officials, DLSA lawyers, hospital staff, NGO representatives, and community member representatives from different districts of Uttar Pradesh.

The meeting focused on strengthening coordination, building mutual understanding, and reinforcing a rights-based and collaborative approach to ensure community safety and improved access to justice.
