🌈 Health & Wellness for All! 🌈

Basera Samajik Sansthan, under Project SAHAS, proudly conducted a Health and Eye Check-up Camp for transgender individuals in collaboration with the India HIV/AIDS Alliance.

💠 In this initiative, we partnered with the Centre for Sight for eye check-ups and the District Hospital, Noida for medical support.
💠 Services included BP and sugar testing, general physician consultations, and HIV & Syphilis referrals to the ICTC.
💠 Medicines were distributed as prescribed by the doctors.

We were also joined by the Transgender Crisis Response Police Team, who spread awareness about the Crisis Response Cell and the toll-free helpline dedicated to community safety and support.

👥 Around 60 community members benefited from the camp, receiving care, guidance, and essential health services.

Together, we are building a future of health, inclusion, and dignity for all! 💪💜

We wrapped up back-to-back workshops on Financial Literacy and Second Line Leadership—building skills, confidence, and collective strength across our community networks. From budgeting basics to bold leadership, these sessions were all about equipping changemakers to lead with purpose and plan with clarity.
Grateful to every participant, facilitator, and partner who made this possible. The energy was electric, the conversations real, and the commitment to equity stronger than ever.

✨ Community Advisory Board (CAB) Meeting ✨

Basera Samajik Sansthan successfully organized the Community Advisory Board (CAB) Meeting under the guidance of UPSACS, with the active presence of the DISHA Meerut Cluster Team – CPO Mr. Pramankur Dutta and CPM Mr. Sachin Kumar.

The meeting was chaired by DTO Noida, Mr. Raghwender Kumar Singh, along with Program Director Mx. Ramkali, Program Manager Ms. Jyoti Aggarwal, the TI team, and community representatives.

🗣️ Discussions focused on:
✅ Why CAB is important at the district level
✅ How CAB will be formed
✅ Roles & responsibilities of CAB members
✅ How CAB can support TI teams in reaching the community and ensuring better services

This collaborative platform is a step forward in building inclusive, community-led solutions that address local needs and strengthen HIV prevention, care, and support services. 🌈

✨ Sensitization Meeting & Warm Welcome ✨

Basera Samajik Sansthan had the privilege of welcoming the newly appointed CMS, Mrs. Ajay Rana at District Combined Hospital, Noida. 🌸

The meeting was graced by Mr. Pramankur Datta, CPO DISHA UPSACS, Mx. Ramkali, Program Director - Basera Samajik Sansthan, our dedicated team, and the administrative officers of the District Hospital.

💬 During the discussion, Mx. Ramkali introduced Basera’s work and highlighted key areas of support required for the transgender community, including:
✅ Strengthening GAC (Gender Affirmative Care) Services
✅ Appointment of an Endocrinologist in the OPD block for transgender persons on ART
✅ Addressing challenges in counseling and surgeries
✅ Exploring employment opportunities for the transgender community in available vacancies

🤝 CMS Mrs. Ajay Rana assured her commitment towards improving service delivery and ensuring inclusive healthcare for the community.

Basera is proud to announce roaring success in collaboration with central district legal services authority where Justice Neha Sharma proposed to compile a list of pending transgender cards, train potential LGBTQ members as paralegal volunteers and help provide more identity cards. With Ramkali at the helm the meeting met sure that inclusivity and accessibility were brought to the mainstream for the vulnerable community. ✨✨✨
