💡 Raebareli Before & After: A Village Transformed by Light

In the villages of Sataon block, Raebareli, darkness once defined life after sunset. With no proper street lighting and frequent power cuts, roads turned dangerous, public spaces emptied out, and daily activities came to an early halt. Women avoided stepping out, elderly residents faced accidents on poorly visible paths, and students struggled to study or attend tuition after dusk. The absence of basic lighting affected everything—from education and mobility to safety and social life.

But today, the difference is clear—solar-powered street lights have illuminated more than just roads. Villages now glow with renewed energy. Women walk confidently, children play and study longer, and community spaces are alive even after sunset. Roads are safer, small shops stay open later, and a sense of dignity and security has returned. What was once a place of stillness after dark is now full of movement, connection, and opportunity.
