The recent Artemis mission to the moon is estimated to have cost nearly $100 billion. ($100,000,000,000!!)

And on top of this, billionaires are starting to fund space missions too - it's great to look back at Planet Earth with awe, but it does make you wonder if we should prioritise protecting planet earth rather than planning to leave it?

Taxing the super-rich would help raise money to tackle the growing climate crisis, and build a fairer future for all.

If you agree that we should tax the super-rich to fight for planet earth, sign our Make Rich Polluters Pay petition: https://makerichpolluterspay.org/

At the start of 2025, new ActionAid research revealed a stark reality: 54 vulnerable countries are in a debt crisis, forced to slash spending on basic public services and climate action just to repay foreign debts.

Africa alone is owed US$36 trillion in climate debt by rich, polluting countries.

Pictured is Pearl, 16, head girl at her school in rural Zimbabwe, where chronic underfunding and escalating climate shocks continue to put girls’ futures at risk.
