๐Ÿ”ขโœจ Little hands, big learning! ๐Ÿ’›

Our little ones had a fun introduction to number, value and counting, using colourful hands-on activities to make early numeracy exciting and meaningful. ๐Ÿงฎ๐ŸŒˆ

Through matching numbers with quantities, counting objects and exploring number concepts, our children are learning to recognise, understand and use numbers in a playful way. ๐Ÿค—

Because when learning is hands-on, numbers become something they can see, touch, explore and understand! ๐Ÿ’›โœจ

๐Ÿ’š World Cerebral Palsy Day | 6 October ๐Ÿ’š

Cerebral Palsy is a neurological condition that primarily affects movement, muscle tone, posture and coordination, and it can look very different from one person to another.

But beyond the diagnosis is an individual with their own strengths, abilities, interests and potential. โœจ

This World Cerebral Palsy Day, letโ€™s move beyond awareness towards understanding, accessibility, acceptance and opportunity. ๐Ÿค๐ŸŒฑ

At Nai Asha by Leher Foundation, we believe in creating opportunities for individuals with CP to learn, communicate, participate, develop skills and build greater confidence and independence. ๐Ÿ’›

Because Cerebral Palsy is one part of a personโ€™s story, not the whole story.

Letโ€™s celebrate ability, create inclusion and make space for every individual to thrive. ๐ŸŒ๐Ÿ’š

๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณโœจ Celebrating Gandhi Jayanti through voices, stories and self-expression!

At Nai Asha by Leher Foundation, celebrations are also opportunities to learn, participate and grow. ๐Ÿ’›

Our students brought Gandhi Jayanti to life through a beautiful play, working together to explore storytelling, expression, communication and confidence. ๐ŸŽญโœจ

We also encouraged our students to step forward and speak in front of others, creating a space where they could share their thoughts, express themselves and discover the confidence in their own voices. ๐ŸŽค๐ŸŒŸ

Because sometimes, a few words can be a very big step.
And every opportunity to speak, participate and be heard is an opportunity to grow. ๐ŸŒฑ๐Ÿ’›

Celebrating values, nurturing confidence, and giving every voice a chance to shine. ๐Ÿ‡ฎ๐Ÿ‡ณโœจ

๐Ÿ‘œ๐Ÿค Creating Together, Learning From Each Other

At Nai Asha by Leher Foundation, we believe inclusion is not just about bringing people together, but about creating opportunities to learn from one another, understand different abilities, and build genuine connections. ๐Ÿ’›

We were delighted to welcome students from Genesis Global School for an inclusive bag-making activity, where they worked alongside our vocational students to create bags together. ๐Ÿงต๐Ÿ‘œโœจ

Beyond the activity itself, it was an opportunity to experience what inclusion can look like in everyday life. Our students got to share their vocational skills, work as a team, and build confidence, while the visiting students had the opportunity to interact, collaborate, and understand their peers beyond differences.

๐ŸŒฑ For our vocational students, such interactions encourage communication, teamwork, confidence, and the feeling of being valued for their skills and abilities.

๐ŸŒˆ For mainstream school students, these experiences help build empathy, understanding, acceptance, and comfort in interacting with people with different abilities.

Because empathy grows through experience, and understanding grows when we take the time to know one another. โค๏ธ

Activities like these help create a generation that sees ability before disability, connection before difference, and inclusion as a natural part of everyday life. โœจ

Thank you, Genesis Global School, for spending the day creating, learning, and sharing with us. ๐Ÿ’›

๐Ÿ›๏ธ Learning to shop. Learning to sell. Learning for life. ๐Ÿ’›โœจ

Shopping and sales skills are an integral part of our vocational curriculum, where students get to learn both sides of a real-world transaction.

๐Ÿ›’ As shoppers, they learn to:
๐Ÿ”Ž Identify what they need and find it
๐Ÿท๏ธ Check and compare prices
๐Ÿงฎ Calculate how much they need to pay
๐Ÿ’ต Identify the right notes and coins
๐Ÿงพ Use calculators for everyday calculations

๐Ÿ’ผ As sellers and cashiers, they learn to:
๐Ÿค Interact with customers and manage transactions
๐Ÿ’ฐ Count cash accurately
๐Ÿงฎ Calculate and give the correct change
๐Ÿ“ฆ Manage stock and inventory
๐Ÿงพ Keep track of sales and purchases

These everyday experiences bring numeracy, money management, decision-making, communication, and problem-solving into practical learning. ๐ŸŒฑโœจ

From knowing what to buy to knowing how to run a sale, we are building skills that support confidence, employability, and greater independence. ๐Ÿ’›

Because vocational learning is not just about learning a skill. It is about learning how to use it in the real world. ๐ŸŒโœจ

They spend their days planning activities, creating opportunities to learn, encouraging our students, and celebrating every little milestone. ๐Ÿ’›โœจ

But today, it was their turn to put the work aside, let their hair down, and simply have some fun! ๐Ÿฅณ๐ŸŽ‰

From games and laughter to some very competitive moments ๐Ÿ˜„, our teachers got to enjoy a little well-deserved time together.

Sharing some glimpses of the fun, because the people who bring so much joy to our students deserve a little joy of their own too! ๐Ÿซถ๐ŸŒธ

A little Krishna magic, a lot of joy! ๐Ÿฆš๐Ÿ’™โœจ

Our Janmashtami celebration was filled with colour, creativity, and togetherness. From bringing stories to life through our theatre skit ๐ŸŽญ and expressing ourselves through dance ๐Ÿ’ƒ, to creating festive art and craft ๐ŸŽจ and enjoying group activities ๐Ÿค, every moment was an opportunity to learn, participate, build confidence, and have fun together.

We love turning celebrations into meaningful learning experiences, where our students can express themselves, practise their skills, and create beautiful memories along the way. ๐Ÿ’›โœจ

Wishing everyone a very Happy Janmashtami! ๐Ÿชˆ๐Ÿฆš May Lord Krishna fill your lives with love, happiness, and positivity. ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿ’™
