On 22nd August 2026, Saksham Rozgar Society organised an insightful session on “How to Find a Good Job”, featuring Mr. Nishchay Budhiraja, Director at Blinkit, IIM Calcutta & IIT Roorkee alumnus. The session was attended by 44 enthusiastic participants and focused on helping young learners make informed career choices and understand the changing job market.
The session explored when students should begin planning their careers and how choices between Science, Commerce and Arts/Humanities can open diverse career opportunities.
Participants discussed career options beyond conventional choices, including management, HR, media, healthcare, agriculture and skill-based professions. The importance of balancing passion with job opportunities while choosing a career was also highlighted.
The session further focused on what employers look for beyond a degree—communication, technical and interpersonal skills, leadership, teamwork and problem-solving abilities. Participants were encouraged to research course fees, placement records, average salaries and career prospects before choosing a course.
The discussion also covered practical ways to find a job through internships, campus placements, networking, referrals, job portals and direct applications, while highlighting the growing importance of practical experience.
An important part of the session was challenging the perception that only white-collar jobs offer dignity and financial growth. Skilled professions such as electricians, carpenters, technicians, drivers, cooks and caregivers can also provide respectable, rewarding and sustainable careers.
The session concluded with an important message: a good career is not built by a degree alone, it requires the right skills, practical experience, informed decisions, continuous learning and the willingness to explore opportunities.

On 15th August 2026 at 9:00 PM, Saksham Rozgar Society organised an enriching online session on "Workplace Etiquettes" under the Roots & Wings Training, Season 3, featuring Mr. Ravessh Kalra, Strategy Consultant at Boston Consulting Group, New York, in conversation with our President, Ms. Jyotika Kalra. The session was attended by 54 enthusiastic learners and focused on understanding the importance of professional conduct, communication, responsibility, and respectful behaviour in the workplace.
The discussion began by exploring what exactly constitutes a workplace, including traditional offices, work-from-home settings, official outings, parties, and meetings outside the office. The conversation then examined professional relationships with employers, seniors, juniors, colleagues, clients, and other professional contacts, while highlighting the importance of understanding workplace boundaries and appropriate conduct.
The session also addressed important considerations before accepting a job, including salary, nature of work, working hours, distance from home, growth opportunities, and workplace environment, along with the role of parents and trusted individuals in making career decisions. The discussion also covered casual conversations and workplace gossip, and how they can either strengthen relationships or negatively affect the work environment. Participants explored how assignments should be handled by clarifying expectations, understanding deadlines, communicating difficulties, and completing responsibilities on time. The session also highlighted the importance of viewing the employer-employee relationship as a mutual exchange of value, rather than simply “working for” or “paying” someone.
The conversation further explored how mistakes should be handled, how employees can respectfully disagree with their seniors, and why accountability, learning from errors, and constructive communication are essential professional qualities. The session concluded with a discussion on teamwork, trust, communication, responsibility, punctuality, respect, and attitude, reinforcing that true professionalism is reflected in the small things we do every day.

On 8th August 2026 at 9:00 PM, Saksham Rozgar Society organised an enriching online session on "Digital Self-Discipline" under the Roots & Wings Training, Season 3, featuring Mr. Zain Anwar, Filmmaker and Content Creator in conversation with our President, Ms. Jyotika Kalra. The session was attended by 65 enthusiastic learners and focused on understanding the growing influence of digital media and the importance of using it consciously and responsibly.
The discussion began by exploring what digital media means and how it differs from conventional media such as newspapers, radio, and television, particularly in terms of accessibility, availability, choice, and the speed at which information reaches us. The conversation then examined how digital media and social media have transformed our behaviour, emotional intelligence, relationships, and everyday lives, including the increasing tendency to remain connected to our phones during office hours, family time, social gatherings, and other important moments. Mr. Anwar addressed the growing culture of online validation and the craving for likes, comments, followers, and recognition, explaining how excessive dependence on digital approval can influence self-esteem, confidence, and emotional well-being. The session also discussed healthy screen-time habits, the importance of monitoring digital usage through tools such as screen-time trackers, and the need to develop conscious boundaries around digital consumption. Participants also explored practical precautions relating to online dating, sexual activities facilitated through digital platforms, cyber and financial frauds, and responsible online behaviour. At the same time, the session highlighted that digital media is not merely a source of distraction or addiction but an extraordinary resource for knowledge, education, skill development, communication, and professional opportunities. The session ultimately reinforced an important message: digital self-discipline is not about avoiding technology, but about ensuring that technology remains a tool for our betterment rather than becoming a source of dependency.

Assam is facing one of its most devastating floods in nearly six decades. 95 lives were lost, and more than 1.6 lakh people were affected. In response to this, Saksham Rozgar Society requested its members to contribute. SRS successfully raised ₹1,00,000/-.
and donated to the Assam CM Relief Fund. As Indians, standing together in times of adversity is not just our responsibility; it is our strength. 🇮🇳

On 1st August 2026, Saksham Rozgar Society organised an enriching online session on "Self Introduction", featuring Ms. Zoya Rasul, Media Professional, UK, in conversation with our President, Ms. Jyotika Kalra. The session was attended by 44 enthusiastic learners and focused on one of the most essential life skills: the ability to introduce oneself with confidence, authenticity, and clarity.
The discussion explored why self-introduction plays a vital role in both personal and professional life and examined the different situations in which it becomes essential. Ms. Rasul explained the key elements of an effective introduction, highlighting the importance of body language, eye contact, voice modulation, posture, appearance, confidence, and the thoughtful choice of words. She discussed the distinction between personal and professional introductions, shared practical strategies for creating a strong first impression during job interviews, and explained what recruiters truly look for in candidates. The session also covered how to introduce oneself naturally in social settings and while building personal relationships, prepare confidently for follow-up questions, and avoid common mistakes such as speaking too little, speaking too much, or exaggerating achievements. Ms. Rasul emphasised that honesty and credibility are the foundations of every memorable introduction and discussed how to choose the appropriate language for self-introduction, assess one's readiness to speak in English, and improve English communication through consistent practice. She further addressed common signs of nervousness, the importance of recognising the right moment to begin an introduction, knowing when to conclude it effectively, and concluded by sharing three golden principles for delivering a confident, authentic, and lasting first impression.

On 25th July 2026, Saksham Rozgar Society organised an enriching online session on "Time Management" featuring Ms. Kanvi Goyal, Consultant at EY-Parthenon, New York, in conversation with our President, Ms. Jyotika Kalra. The session was attended by 42 enthusiastic learners and offered practical strategies for making the most of our most valuable resource.
The discussion highlighted how effective planning, activity logs, to-do lists, and action plans help us stay organised and emphasised the importance of distinguishing between urgent and important tasks. She discussed why procrastination often drains more energy than completing a task, encouraged participants to finish their work before striving for perfection, and stressed that productivity depends on discipline, consistency, healthy habits, and a structured daily routine. Participants learned the importance of organising their surroundings, giving every essential item a dedicated place. She further stressed the importance of delegating tasks whenever possible, recognizing one's own limitations, and developing habits that enhance productivity rather than merely increasing activity. Ms. Goyal encouraged participants to finish assignments first and improve them later, rather than postponing them in the pursuit of perfection. She also explained that productivity is closely linked with healthy habits, regular exercise, sufficient sleep, and maintaining realistic schedules with buffer time. On 18th July 2026 at 9:00 PM, Saksham Rozgar Society successfully conducted an insightful session under its Roots & Wings Season 3 Series, featuring Mr. Subhash Malik, Management Consultant & Mentor, as the distinguished guest. The session witnessed the enthusiastic participation of 65 learners, making it an engaging and thought-provoking learning experience.
Moderated by Ms. Jyotika Kalra, the session explored the true essence of communication beyond the conventional understanding of speaking. The discussion covered the meaning and purpose of communication, the role of the sender and receiver, the importance of active listening, verbal and non-verbal communication, body language, eye contact, facial expressions, gestures, and the significance of silence as a powerful means of expression.
Drawing from his rich professional experience, Mr. Subhash Malik shared practical examples and valuable life lessons that highlighted a simple yet profound truth: communication is not merely about expressing oneself, it is about building understanding, creating meaningful connections, and ensuring that the intended message reaches both the mind and the heart of the listener. Overall, the session was informative and thought-provoking, leaving the participants with valuable insights and practical tips for enhancing their communication skills.

Saksham Rozgar Society (SRS), a non-governmental organisation dedicated to enhancing employability and creating livelihood opportunities for the youth of Uttar Pradesh, successfully convened its 4th General Body Meeting (GBM) on 14 June 2026.
The Chief Guest, Ms. Rekha Kureel, commended the Society for its dedicated efforts towards youth empowerment. She highlighted the importance of equipping young people with relevant skills, values, and opportunities, and appreciated the Society’s meaningful contribution towards building a skilled and self-reliant India in line with the vision of Viksit Bharat.
The General Secretary, Mr. Asif Azmi, presented the minutes of the previous General Body Meeting held on 8 June 2025, which were unanimously approved by the members present. The Secretary, Mr. Sandeep Chawla, presented the Annual Activity Report, while the Treasurer, CA Sundeep Gupta, presented the audited Balance Sheet and provided a detailed overview of the Society’s financial position and expenditure during the year.
Addressing the gathering, the President of Saksham Rozgar Society, Ms. Jyotika Kalra, emphasised the importance of social responsibility and encouraged members to actively contribute towards the welfare and development of society. She stressed that individuals should look beyond personal interests and participate in initiatives that foster collective growth and nation-building. Referring to recent instances of elected representatives changing political affiliations, she expressed concern over the adverse impact such actions may have on public trust and the moral fabric of democratic institutions. She further announced the Society’s plans to expand its activities during the coming year and work towards establishing a physical training centre to complement its online programmes.
The Society recently organised a month-long Online Business and Accounts Training Programme from 1 April to 30 April 2026, benefiting more than 60 participants from Uttar Pradesh, Delhi, and Madhya Pradesh. During the GBM, 12 students were presented with certificates in person, while 26 students received digital certificates. On the occasion, Rabia Khatoon, blind student and Ankush Kumar shared their inspiring journeys with the Society and spoke about personal growth and confidence.

On this occasion Scholarship in the name of late Smt. Sunita Dhingra was awarded to the tune of Rs. 2,500/- p.m. was awarded to Rabia Khatun a visually impaired student doing B Ed from Maulana Azad National Urdu University. Daughter-in-law of Smt Sunita Dhingra, Ms. Veena Dhingra shared that the purpose of scholarship is to facilitate education of deserving students.
President, SRS is Ms. Jyotika Kalra, Advocate-on-Record at the Supreme Court of India and a former member National Human Rights Commission, welcomed the women’s reservation Act, she said despite forming nearly half the population, women have long been underrepresented in political spaces. Similarly, reservations for Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes, and Other Backward Classes were introduced to correct deep-rooted historical injustices. Yet, debates continue, often questioning merit versus reservation. We must understand that reservation is not against merit—it is about creating a level playing field where everyone has a fair chance.

Saksham Rozgar Society successfully organized a free One-Month Business & Accounts Training Program from 1st April to 31st April 2026, benefiting more than 60 students in each batch from Uttar Pradesh, Delhi and Madhya Pradesh. The initiative was aimed at enhancing employability skills and providing practical exposure to modern business and accounting practices.
The training program covered a wide range of important subjects, including Types of Business Organizations, Fundamentals of Accounting and Golden Rules, Journal Entries, Ledger Maintenance (both Manual and Tally), Income & Expenditure, GST, TDS, Profit & Loss Analysis, Balance Sheet Interpretation, Excel for Accounting, Basics of Income Tax Return Filing, Banking and Online Fraud and the use of AI tools such as ChatGPT. The sessions were conducted offline and were also made available through our YouTube channel to ensure greater accessibility for students.
At the conclusion of the program, 40 students successfully completed the final assessment through Google Forms, while 16 participants submitted testimonials sharing their learning experiences and feedback. Outstanding students were also provided with paid internship opportunities in the field of accounting as a step towards practical industry exposure.
During the closing session, SRS President Ms. Jyotika Kalra expressed her heartfelt gratitude to the entire team whose dedicated efforts over two months made the training program a success. She emphasized that the initiative not only imparted business and accounting knowledge but also familiarized students with important digital tools and platforms, including online form submissions, digital assessments, video creation, and content posting.
Saksham Rozgar Society will continue to work towards creating meaningful learning opportunities and equipping young individuals with the skills required for a brighter and more self-reliant future.
