The Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Movement – Chhattisgarh Chapter, Durg District Unit is pleased to share that its World Environment Day 2026 initiative has received media coverage for its contribution towards environmental protection, sustainability, and community engagement.

🌿 On the occasion of World Environment Day, a Tree Plantation & Environmental Awareness Programme was successfully organized at Mahila Thana Durg, bringing together police personnel, humanitarian volunteers, and community members in a collective effort to promote environmental responsibility and climate action.

👮‍♀️ The programme witnessed the active participation of TI Neeta Ji, Mahila Thana Incharge, along with police officers and staff members, who joined hands with volunteers in planting saplings and spreading awareness on environmental conservation.

🎙️ The programme was led by Ms. Saraswati Dhaneshwar, National Director of the Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Movement, who emphasized that environmental protection is a shared responsibility and that every tree planted today contributes to a healthier and more sustainable future for generations to come.

The Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Movement – Chhattisgarh Chapter, through its Durg District Unit, successfully organized a Tree Plantation & Environmental Awareness Programme on the occasion of World Environment Day 2026.

The programme was conducted in cooperation with the Mahila Thana, Durg, where saplings were planted by police officials, humanitarian volunteers, and community leaders to promote environmental sustainability and collective responsibility towards nature.

👮‍♀️ Mahila Thana Incharge TI Neeta Ji, along with all police officers and staff members, actively participated in the plantation drive. As a gesture of appreciation and environmental commitment, saplings were also presented to police personnel with the message of protecting and nurturing nature.

🎙️ Ms. Saraswati Dhaneshwar, National Director of the Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Movement, led the programme and emphasized that environmental protection is not limited to a single day but is a continuous responsibility shared by all humanity. She highlighted that tree plantation represents our commitment towards future generations and a healthier planet.
