Transgender Welfare Equity and Empowerment Trust (TWEET) India was conceptualize in 2015 after realizing there are serious gaps at the national level on trans issues to take forward the advocacy, research, capacity building and empowerment of the trans organizations. TWEET India has been active since 2015 and in process to discuss with various stakeholders around the potential gaps in the transgen

der work in India at the national level since there are various trans organizations which are already operating at the state level and doing good work. However, these organizations are focused around the HIV and health access work. Some organizations are doing good work on the advocacy and social welfare in states like Chhattisgarh, West Bengal, Kerala, Karnataka, Hyderabad and especially Maharashtra. However, their efforts are specific in their states and limited at national level since most of these organizations are based in specific states and has limited visibility and interest to create difference at the national level.

✨📚🦷 A Day of Learning, Health & Empowerment at Hexaware Skilling Centre 🦷📚✨

Today’s session began with our students successfully completing their examinations, marking another important step in their skilling journey. 🎓

Following the exams, Dr. Vaibhav and the team from Kartavya Dental Clinic conducted an engaging and informative CPR Awareness Session, teaching participants essential life-saving skills and how to respond during medical emergencies. ❤️🩺

The day continued with a Dental Health Camp, where Transmen, Transwomen, and Non-Binary community members received dental check-ups, oral health consultations, and valuable guidance on maintaining good dental hygiene. 🦷✨

A meaningful day dedicated to education, health awareness, and community well-being.

🙏 Heartfelt thanks to Dr. Vaibhav, the Kartavya Dental Clinic team, and Hexaware for their continued support in creating healthier and more empowered communities.

TWEET Foundation proudly appreciates Manveer Yadav, the first Transman petitioner challenging the Transgender Amendment Act, 2026, for representing our organization at the recent community consultation held in Kolkata.

The consultation brought together community leaders, activists, and stakeholders to discuss the impact of the recent anti-trans amendments introduced in May 2026 and their implications for transgender, non-binary, and gender-diverse communities across India.

Manveer’s powerful participation highlighted the lived realities, concerns, and aspirations of transgender persons on the ground, ensuring that community voices remain at the center of policy discussions and advocacy efforts.

We thank Manveer for his courage, commitment, and unwavering dedication to advancing equality, dignity, and justice for transgender communities.
