Necessity of Parents Involvement in Education
Parents are the biggest stakeholders in child’s education because they are the most concerned party for the success and careers of their child and the main financiers of the whole educational system in form of tax-payers and fees-payers. But unfortunately, unlike many other countries, Indian parents do not have any exposure and say on Education Polici
es formation. The objective of the conference is to establish a non- political, non-Government, independent forum, PARENT INVOLVEMENT IN EDUCATION’ (PIE), for all the parents of all Indian students. The said platform will raise the concerns of the parents on educational policy and its implementation. Further, it will take up such issues at the Government level, education departments and policy makers so that parents’ views are incorporated while designing education policies.
