The Faculty of Humanitarian Press and Journalists (FHPJ) is a faculty association of the International University of the Blue Cross & Blue
Crescent (IUBC) — the University for Humanity. FHPJ brings together humanitarian journalists, press officers, photographers, videographers, editors, broadcasters, digital media professionals and communication volunteers who serve the Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Movement by documenting humanitarian action, raising public awareness and bringing important global humanitarian issues to light. Through ethical journalism, responsible reporting and humanitarian storytelling, FHPJ gives a voice to vulnerable communities, shares stories from the field and helps ensure that vital humanitarian messages are heard by the world.

To inform, educate and inspire communities through humanitarian journalism, press coverage, photography, documentary storytelling and public awareness campaigns that promote human dignity, compassion, peace and service to humanity.

To build a global network of humanitarian press and media professionals who report with truth, neutrality, responsibility and compassion, ensuring that the voices of vulnerable people are seen, heard and respected.
📰 Who We Are
FHPJ members are active members and volunteering staff of the Blue Cross & Blue Crescent Movement. They serve as humanitarian press officers, journalists, field reporters, photographers, documentary creators, media coordinators and digital communication volunteers. The Faculty operates through branches in countries where National Blue Cross Societies or Blue Crescent Societies work, supporting humanitarian relief coverage, public education, emergency communication and global awareness.
