The Kuki Students’ Organization, Delhi, was consecrated on the 18th of Aug, 1987 whose draft aims and objectives were the following:
To promote, and determinedly strive for excellence in academic pursuits, different competitive examinations. To encourage morality, social probity, decorum, decency and age old values of respect for elders. To preserve and to sustain an abiding link with our tra
ditional and cultural moorings. To act as a loose federation of all sisterly organizations existing in Delhi with a view to providing them with a common platform to voice their interest and air any grievances as one unified force. To revitalize and strengthen the fading consciousness of One-Nation and One-People among students belonging to different tribes knitted closely as they were by reasons of affinity in language, customs, traditions and culture. To stand as a bulwark of defence against narrow sectarian ideas, parochial and divisive tendencies. It was then, on the 18th of August, 1987, that the Kuki Students’ Organization, Delhi, took birth at the conference Hall of the YMCA Hostel, Jai Singh Road, New Delhi at 11 a.m. Chin AFS, the then Director, Accounts, Dept. of Telecommunication, Shillong grace the inaugural function as the Chief Guest. The meeting was presided over by Paul Hangshing, General Secretary, Interim Committee. Guests of Honour who graced the occasion were Pu. Doungel IPS, (then on deputation to Intelligence Bureau) and Mrs.T.Gangte, Civilian Staff Officer, Ministry of Defence. Records shows that about 30 students participated in that function, prominent among them, were Pu Christopher Doungel IPS and Pu. Armstrong Changsan IRS. On this occasion, the first formal Executive Body (members) of KSO Delhi were chosen by consensus. They were:

The first Advisory Board of the KSO Delhi were then comprised Pu. Taikakim Gangte CSO. Kuki Students’ Organisation is a students' body mainly established for the purpose of contributing to especially students' welfare and social development of the Kuki society. It is an initiative aimed at building a cordial relationship with the various actors of the society. KSO, Delhi aims to bring in a new era for the present day students and youth to wake up, putting aside all prejudices, shedding age-old pre-conceived notions on clannism or divisive thought and together finding a way out of the labyrinth.
