India has 7200 kms of shoreline and this whole stretch is being subjected to continuous anthropogenic stressers. Almost 235 sq kms of coastal land was lost between 1990- 2016 due to 8.5 cm of sea level rise in past 5 decades. This sea level rise could result in possible displcement of nearly 36 million people by 2100 making them climate refugees. And Sunderbans is at the forefront of an impending doom. Can we halt it?
