🌏Building climate-resilient, sustainable healthcare, one region at a time.
On 26th September 2026, NABH conducted its first Regional Training Programme on Climate Change Resilience and Sustainability in Healthcare at Bangalore Baptist Hospital, Bengaluru.
Climate change is no longer a distant risk for healthcare. Extreme heat, floods, disrupted supply chains and shifting disease patterns are already testing our hospitals. At the same time, the health sector contributes to the emissions it must help address. Resilient, low-carbon, high-quality care is now a patient safety and quality imperative.
The programme brought together healthcare leaders, ESG experts, quality professionals and clinicians to:
✅ Understand climate risks to patient safety and service continuity
✅ Explore practical approaches to energy, water, waste and resource efficiency
✅ Translate sustainability principles into everyday hospital practice
✅ Strengthen alignment between accreditation standards and climate action
