QCI-NABH successfully hosted the NABH Regional Assessor Conclave on August 21, 2026 at Hilton Garden Inn, Lucknow, bringing together NABH Assessors and QPAC (Quality Promotion and Advisory Council) Members from across the region for meaningful engagement, knowledge exchange, and collaborative learning.

The conclave featured focused discussions on:

• Quality Bharat Mission and the Gunvatta initiatives driving excellence in healthcare
• Updates on NABH quality initiatives and strategic programmes
• Emerging accreditation and certification programmes, revised standards, and new service lines
• Assessor performance, assessment trends, common non-conformities (NCs), and best practices in report writing
• Digital transformation initiatives, including the AI-enabled Modular Platform
• Assessor professionalism, Code of Conduct, effective communication, and assessment best practices
• Recognition of quality initiatives and assessor excellence

The event witnessed active participation and engaging discussions, enriched by the experiences, perspectives, and best practices shared by the NABH Assessor community and QPAC Members.

The conclave reaffirmed the vital role played by NABH Assessors in advancing quality, patient safety, consistency, and continual improvement across healthcare organisations.

QCI-NABH remains committed to empowering its assessor community through continuous learning, professional development, and collaborative engagement, further strengthening the pursuit of excellence in healthcare accreditation across the country.

NABH is pleased to welcome Mr. Nico Schiettekatte, Counselor for Health, Welfare and Sport, Embassy of the Kingdom of the Netherlands in India, as a speaker at the NABH Patient Safety Conference 2026.

With a career spanning international cooperation in health, science, technology and innovation, Mr. Schiettekatte works to strengthen health partnerships between the Netherlands and India. Across diplomatic assignments in China, France and Brazil, he has worked with governments, research institutions and industry in areas including public health, medical technology, digital health and public-private partnerships. His experience also includes advancing international collaboration on climate and health, sustainable healthcare and green hospitals.

At NPSC 2026, he will speak on "Sustainability: The New Dimension of Healthcare Accreditation", bringing an international policy and partnership perspective to the discussion on making sustainability a practical part of healthcare quality and accreditation.

NABH is pleased to welcome Ms. Manisha Mantri, Scientist F (Associate Director), Centre for Development of Advanced Computing (C-DAC), Pune, as a speaker at the NABH Patient Safety Conference 2026.

Working at the intersection of health informatics, digital standards and interoperability, Ms. Mantri contributes to the development of connected, standards-based healthcare systems in India. As Project Lead and Co-Investigator of the National Resource Centre for EHR Standards, she leads initiatives supporting the adoption of EHR standards and interoperable, patient-centred digital health systems. Her expertise spans FHIR, SNOMED CT, electronic health records, information security and the application of AI and machine learning in healthcare. She is also a co-author of Electronic Health Record: Standards, Coding Systems, Frameworks, and Infrastructures.

At NPSC 2026, she will share perspectives informed by her work in health data standards and interoperability, examining how strong digital foundations can support connected healthcare, continuity of care and the continued development of India’s digital health ecosystem.

NABH is pleased to welcome Dr. Sandeep Rath, Assistant Professor of Operations Management, Indian School of Business, as a speaker at the NABH Patient Safety Conference 2026.

Working at the intersection of operations research, clinical AI and health systems, Dr. Rath collaborates with hospitals, healthcare providers and technology firms to address complex resource-allocation and operational challenges. His research applies predictive and prescriptive analytics, optimisation and machine learning to areas such as workforce planning, surgical scheduling, operating-room efficiency and EHR utilisation, translating quantitative methods into practical solutions for healthcare administrators. Before joining ISB, he served on the faculty at UNC Kenan-Flagler Business School.

At NPSC 2026, he will speak on Building India’s Digital Health Ecosystem, drawing on his research to examine how data-driven methods and digital technologies can support better planning, more efficient hospital operations and informed decision-making across healthcare systems.
