Indian Collegiate Level Athletic Program (ICAP) is a program that has the brains of both student athletes and professionals working on it. It aims at practically bringing about the culture of sports at the college level, midst the hollow talks and promises of promotion of sports in the system. Sports usually loses the race when it comes to choose the priorities of life by a budding sports person.
Our team will work upon the shortcomings and problems faced by these enthusiasts and will help to boost the Sports Culture throughout the country by bridging all the gaps and filling all the loopholes. The following three points would brief up the entire concept:
MISSION: We will provide the youth of India with state of the art Infrastructure, Incentives and Training Programs to ensure maximum participation in sports. VISION: To create a vibrant environment where sports could be pursued with zeal and enthusiasm in Educational Institutes and bring out the best sports persons from the youth of India who could bring glory to the nation in International sports arena. OBJECTIVES: We are focused to provide an Inter–Collegiate sports program for continuous augmentation and renewal of infrastructural facilities. ICAP would be a program running across different centers in India (beginning with six initially), where the best talent from the different universities of the region would be picked out to compete with the others. The issues of infrastructure problems and financial limitations would be eliminated by a properly decentralized organizational system and thus the aim would be maximum outreach. We are scripting a carefully charted plan with appropriate hierarchy to bring about a wave of change. Unlike other systems of short listing the best, our major aim would be development of sports culture even after schooling, such that opting for sports does not become an option for students. We want to use the plethora of energy within the youth to be channelized towards their development as well as national pride, overcoming the challenges faced. We realize that our dream is more of a challenge than an aim, but we really want that our country also comes at par with the other competing nations who had taken the right steps at the time we were focusing on discussing the importance of physical fitness. We visualize India to earn laurels in the Olympics by tapping the talent at the grass-root level, motivating the Institutions to exploit the huge human resources in the correct way defined on the basis of their talent. With all your guidance and assistance, we can make sure that the project becomes a pioneer in the cause of developing the culture of sports among the youth. We believe that you will support us in this venture.
