ULS aims to unite all the HIP-HOP dancers (any sub-style, for example, popping, locking, krumping, animation, etc or the amalgamation- Urban HipHop) and create a SOCIETY where we learn from each other, compete with each other, challenge each other and VOTE to bring in BIG international artists to learn from. Many of you might have thought that Urban Lifestyle is negligible in India. We don’t see p
eople doing hip-hop, creating graffiti or beatboxing. Well this is the chance to give INDIA the push towards URBAN LIFESTYLE. GET INDIA IN THE URBAN SCENE. AIM- To export Indian dancers and make them super famous rather than importing the Chachi’s, the Ian’s and the Brian’s. Oh obviously we will be importing them too for the sake of learning for the whole society
HERE’s the procedure:-
SEND US A VIDEO OF YOU PERFORMING YOUR OWN CHOREOGRAPHY (length of the video- 1 minute minimum) AND IF YOU’RE GOOD YOU BECOME A REGISTERED MEMBER OF THE ASSOCIATION AND FEATURE ON THE OFFICIAL PAGE. You then get to participate in / be a part of many events that we have planned, namely:-
• Video Contests- these aim to make you a Youtube star (just like your Urban idols) and we will help promote you and make you famous in India as well as in the whole dancing fraternity. Super amazing videos will be uploaded from the ULS Youtube Account.
• Challenges- you get to show your choreography and dancing skills to certain pre-decided genres or songs.
• BE THE CHOREOGRAPHER- The winners of the mentioned “Video Contests” and “Challenges” get to take classes which will be organised by ULS so that our members can learn from each other. The winners get to teach the winning routines to everyone in the SOCIETY.
• International Workshops- Many times a year votings will be held to determine which international artist is the most “famous” or who would you like us to bring to your city so that you can extract every ounce of knowledge and skill from them. (Everything is decided by the REGISTERED members of the society)
• Trends- ULS will be posting all the latest trends in the Urban world, the latest videos, the latest gossip, the latest achievements of all your dancing idols. The aim is to educate you about the URBAN LIFESTYLE which is the base of our success. Remember- Even art has theory behind it.
• News- ULS will let every member know about the dancing events or competitions happening in the vicinity. Any opportunity up for the grabs, you will be the first to know.
• Apparel and Accessories- In every workshop organised by ULS, there will be exclusive t-shirts, tank tops, snapbacks, sweatpants, etc available for sale for every member. IT IS NOT JUST A DANCE SOCIETY. Other Events:-
PHOTOGRAPHY- If you are a photographer and click lots of dance related pictures, send us the ones apt for our Urban Lifestyle tag and we will post them on our page and our Instagram and make people aware about you. PRODUCTION- If you are interested in producing dance videos, we are the right people to contact since every brilliant Urban Hip Hop dancer will be associated to our society. BEATBOXING- This follows the same rule, send us your videos at the mentioned email address and become a part of our society. The events go separate for you but they will have the same intensity. AWARDS
If we have the required number of contests and competitions and all goes well, at the end of every year, ULS awards will be held for dancers and artists in every category and the winners get opportunities as well as amazing prizes. SUCCESS
If we taste success, who knows, we might even hold camps like the ORIGINAL URBAN DANCE CAMP which will have all the international choreographers at ONE PLACE. WE ARE NOT A DANCE INSTITUTE. WE DO NOT MAKE YOU SIGN CONTRACTS. WE DON’T CARE IF YOU BELONG TO ANY DANCE INSTITUTE. WE ARE HERE TO BRING THE “FREELANCE CHOREOGRAPHER” CULTURE INTO INDIA. MEET PEOPLE, FORM CREWS.
